To answer the question above though, i would rather give up Herb than Naji. Dyson can do everything Herb can do, and i have a feeling Herb will command more money than we will want to pay him on his new deal. Also, not sure how Herb will feel if we find an upgrade at the 2 starting spot and he goes to the bench.

I 100% agree on this. I think it’s imperative we trade Herb now while his value is at a relative peak. He’s a starter on a really good contract. We probably don’t want to pay him starter money though. I would sell high right now to upgrade. Especially with Dyson on the roster who has a much higher ceiling.

Don't get the infatuation with Reid. I do like that he is young, but he is not a good defender and is a bit foul prone. He can get lazy at times and not get back on defense. Seems more interested in offense than defense. Straight up for Naji is probably not a big investment, but if there are any hopes he eventually takes over for JV down the road, I do not see it.

A lot of teams are running center by committee and I think Naz is a play towards that. You can pay Naz, Nance and a third defensive big ~8-10M each and get your entire front court. There’s no point in paying Val 50% more when he’s going to get these minutes. And then you can go bigger or smaller with that flexibility. Naz gives you some front court scoring which you’d need if you want to replace Val. Still would need a defensive center though.

I want to trade for bamba but I’m not pretending like he fixes everything for us. I think he would be there to give us 15 minutes of rim protection and shooting. Any more and he’s probably hurting you

I think the Raptors should be ready to make as early as tomorrow. It’s rumored they prefer young players over draft assets. Which to me it sounds like they’re targeting a deal with the Pelicans.

Looking at these two proposed trades. I don’t really see how the Grizzlies can compete with us… just drive the price up

Trey and Dyson are deal breakers for me. Take these draft picks!!! #RichFlex

I don’t think it is very feasible but man I’d love to see Jarrett Allen a Pelican. He would be a cheat code with BI and Zion in the lineup alongside him

What does he give you though for $10 million? He is a bad defender, foul prone, runs hot and cold and plays decent offense at times. He has been a 15-18 minute bench player in his career. Is that worth $10 million? If you think he is on the edge of breaking out, I could possibly see it. Otherwise, I don't see it. If he had not gone to LSU, not sure if he would even be mentioned much here.

I didn’t come up with this trade. I don’t even like it. I used the graphic to hopefully incite some conversation based around on what the PELS could offer vs what the GRIZZLIES could offer.

As the downvotes rise I realize this went over your head smh lol #CarryOn

He would be good but at full strength (I know that’s impossible to think about), the Pels have plenty enough offensive firepower. Allen would lock down the paint, improve our rebounding even more and still be a threat in the pick n roll. No way they’d take it but I’d do Hayes, Graham, and our first next year in a heartbeat

Probably 5 first rounders basically, I can see Naji being worth a late first

I don’t see why they have the Pels giving up WAY more value than the Grizzlies. If those trades were even Pels package would be more along Graham, Hayes and those 3 picks mentioned. No way Juancho is worth all that extra.
