That’s it tho. We don’t need KD twitter can shut that shite up. I liked the idea of OG but if you lose Trey and or Dyson in the process its not worth it to me.

Pels 100% need more shooting.

With Larry looking like he is getting healthy and back into form he fills the small ball 5 well, but since Jax looks like he is gone, the Pels don’t have a backup 4 on the roster.

IMO the ideal replacement would be what we hoped Jax could be (ex. Aaron Gordon), but I’m not sure that guy is out there or in the budget.

Still, there are shooters that bring some size/D available that would help.

It’s not a maybe on another shooter, we need another shooter.

Which is why we need to be in on Beasley and Vanderbilt, get rim protection and an upgrade in shooting for Graham, Hayes and 2 1sts. Vanderbilt is on a greta contract for the next few years also.

OG isn’t helping with rim protection and is a worse shooter than trey so if you lose trey you have less shooting

Give me Malik Beasley or Alec Burks to help with shooting. Then give me mo bamba for some rim protection

I’ve said Olynyk a bunch, although his rim protection is more by size that actually being a rim protector, but Bamba has a very tradeable contract and is a surprisingly good shooter for a 7’+ guy and the Magic are reportedly not asking for the moon (late/protected first or good second round pick). Add in Gary Harris (or Terrence Ross) somehow and I like it even more.

Hayes + Temple or Kira + 1 or 2 2nds should get it done. I’m not interested in Gary Harris, nice player but he is always hurt and we definitely don’t need more of that

Ross/Bamba is a solid fringe move but don’t know if the Magic would need/want either Hayes or Graham with how their roster is currently constructed.

I would not give up 2 1sts unless they were pretty heavily protected. Vanderbilt only has one more year left on his contract after this season.

Hayes, Temple and Graham and 2024 Bulls 2nd for Harris, Bamba would fill some needs.

Graham, Hayes, Kira (or Temple) for Bamba and Ross/Harris work from a salary standpoint. And Ross is expiring, so the Pels could make that trade and stay out of the luxury tax if they wanted.

I would like to keep Kira, but he could be more useful for the Magic, since their PG situation is probably weakest on the team. Graham gives them a replacement vet, and Hayes is a flyer on a super athletic big man.

If I’m adding Kira, instead of Temple, then the draft compensation is definitely going to be less.

Alec Burks

Jake Fischer had an article yesterday saying Detroit is looking to sign him to a Bojan type extension and they won’t trade him.

Also reportedly Minnesota doesn’t want to pay Nas his asking price on a new deal, hes asking for around 10 million a year. I would jump all over acquiring him if we can.

At $10 million, I would target Gafford over him all day. Naz's defense would become a big issue.

I agree it can work salary wise but re-read what I said. I don’t know if the Magic wants/needs either player.

Neither would see the court for them IMO.

Pels gunna trade DG and Jax for Jokic and Steph. Athletic bigs and knockdown shooters are a dime a dozen, I don't understand why we don't put 4 40%+ 3 point shooters around Zion.

I would jump all the frick over this. Would y’all trade Naji for Nas? Zach Lowe proposed this trade, I think it’s pretty fair for both sides. I would do it

I really like Naz’ development, but he feels pretty redundant to Larry on the Pels. I see the appeal, he is younger, a bit more rim protection, and more shooting than Larry, but his passing and D is less at this point.

More importantly Naz is expiring, while Naji has another year, and will want a raise, likely into MLE territory, which really complicates the cap next season.

This is the reason to get him. Larry provides us the ability to switch 1-5, theres a reason he’s been getting all the 4th quarter minutes and has been a big part of our comebacks lately.

This would also allow you the ability to move on from JV if his new contract demands are more than we want to pay, or if he wants a bigger role with his waning minutes.

Naji has a team option next year, however if you envoke the option then he becomes an UFA the following year, so it will like be denied and his new contract comes this year when he will be a RFA.

To answer the question above though, i would rather give up Herb than Naji. Dyson can do everything Herb can do, and i have a feeling Herb will command more money than we will want to pay him on his new deal.

Also, not sure how Herb will feel if we find an upgrade at the 2 starting spot and he goes to the bench.
