Dumars continues to raid front offices of elite teams like the Nets and Wizards.

When you have the chance to steal someone from the Brooklyn Nets, you have to do it

Is this where we interview a bunch of Joe's pals to help get their name out there, before eventually hiring Ham?

At least it's not a retread and he's had extensive assistant coaching experience for multiple teams now. Started out as a video coordinator for the Spurs and Cavs. Brooklyn's coach and staff just got an extension as well.

Don't know much more about him otherwise.

They saw we liked Rondo and went another direction.

The Nets staff seems to be highly regarded. They legit have worst roster in the league and were purposely trying to lose this year, and they still shocked some teams (including us). They even resurrected MPJ and turned him into an asset. I kind of like that he's a bit of an unknown, or someone on the rise..

Just an aside. I don't like former pros that are coaches, unless they were journeymen that had to grind. Someone like Rondo, that made 10s of millions, what's going to keep them in line or motivated? Unless they just have a super passion for the game. It's just doesn't work..

If it's going to be an assistant coach who has no previous head coaching experience I prefer in order:

1. Jared Dudley
2. Sean Sweeney
3. Rashon Rondo
4. Micah Nori
5. Chris Jent
6. Steve Hetzel
7. Jarrett Jack

If they were open to a college coach:

1. Todd Golden (Florida)
2. Dusty May (Michigan)
3. Dan Hurley (UConn)

If it's got to be a retread:

1. James Borrego

DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!

Dumars and Ham on a phone call where Dumars tells him that it's definitely a wide open search and the Pels need to do their due diligence (except it's a stack of $5's).

Yeah, I think they are doing a dog and pony show for the media and have already decided on Ham. Hopefully I am wrong.
