I got to Denver last Friday at 1:00 am and was skiing the next morning in Vail. And I mostly sit on my old arse at a desk all day below sea level.

This reminds me of the guy who complained about NFL players avoiding training camps in the extreme heat because, when he was a kid, he would play travel baseball tournaments and would sometimes play multiple games per day.

It’s building in excuses before a game has even been played that just bothers me. It shouldn’t even be a talking a point. Travel is part of the regular season.

If you work in a win or loss profession, truly no one cares why you lost.

I believe there are two types of fans- irrational fans and rational fans.

Irrational fans expect teams to win regardless of circumstances specifically pertaining to health, travel, injuries, home/road, etc. They state they don’t care about why their teams lose.

Rational fans expect a team to win but also understand the circumstances when they lose. On the flip side, they don’t overreact when the team wins against an opponent facing similar issues.

Up to you what type of fan you want to be.

You rationally follow the Pelicans? That’s sadistic, amigo.

The bulls were a long time ago, but the league wasn’t 10 times faster when the Kobe played 82 in 2008-2009, old Kidd played 80 for the 2010-11 mavs, and when lebron/Kyrie/love/Tristan won for Cleveland. This team needs to build a winning culture. That involves eliminating excuses however valid they may be. Load management is still pretty new and best deployed by teams with track records of winning.

The real truth is the two biggest stars are not playing tonight - luka because he is hurt and Zion because he did not prepare his body for an 82 game season, and the team suffers as a result of Zion’s poor choices.

Note - I have no problem with Zion going out and getting loaded and playing bloated in Vegas before the IST championship. You only live once after all.

Yeah I rationally follow my sports teams because I’m a rational person.

You do realize all the teams you listed have guys such as Jordan, Kobe, Kidd and Lebron. These are HOF players. Again pretty irrational if you’re comparing teams with HOF players from ten years ago to the 2023-24 new orleans pelicans. This team is a good playoff contending team but you’re comparing them to the best championship teams of all time- thats a ridiculous take.

Lol there were some preseason frustration and takes I’d like to take back. I’m man enough to admit that.

Compare them to the 2010s blazers. The middling 2010s pacers. Healthy scratches for young core players are a problem, and should not be the expectation.

The Pels are catching Dallas without Luka. That is a far bigger problem for Dallas than a late arrival after a B2B. The Pels should win this game.

Just like last year, the 8th seed and 4th seed will likely be separated by 3-4 games.

If the Pels lose this game, lack of preseason conditioning of Zion is a primary culprit, not a late arrival.

Zion is on pace to play 65 games - that’s the bear minimum.

The NBA released a report last week that basically stated that there is no correlation in between resting players and injuries. They want to prove load management does not work, so they are starting to chip away at it..

Its part of today’s nba. You can whine and complain but it won’t change things. Maybe wait and see how the season pans out before complaining about missed games due to rest and schedule.

By the way its “bare” not “bear.” Bear is an animal.

A report that the NBA commissioned.

My mortgage company also released a report that says paying my mortgage every month makes me taller.

I don’t think load management is necessarily correlated to more wins; however, I think it is obvious that b2b scheduling affects the traveling team and the team on the b2b schedules record.

Last night was a bad arse W.

Would be huge to get another tomorrow before coming home. Can go 10-5 imo in January with a win tomorrow while playing the toughest schedule in the league during the month. Pels are playing great ball right now
