What are our realistic goals for this season? WIn the whole damn thing or give ATL the worst possible pick?

It is sad but I believe we will be playing for the latter.

This seems like a tall ask for a 29 year old who is returning from a ruptured Achilles to replace Herbs defensive presence.

Not really honestly. If we get Kuminga then Herb would be off the bench so now having Murray of the bench instead of Herb doesn't change much. Other than Murray being a better overall player.

You could make an argument that he's slow coming off injury but we also don't really have to rush him back now so yeah Murray at 100% makes Herb extremely replaceable.

Joe must love the warriors. If this happens 3 of our 4 additions would be former warriors

The Achilles injury is the most troubling one to come back from in basketball. Very few players have come back to become the same player they were before the injury. Not saying that will be the case here, but history says it will be tough

Explain to me where the defense comes from if we move Herb for Kuminga.

Lets not start acting like Herb is the make or break of this team. That would just be tiring to talk about.

Stop making sense.

Please, please continue to feel free to ignore the word defense in your analysis of the two players.

Man I just love how after (2) years of getting shite on for arguing this EXACT thing on Dyson y'all want to start saying this shite.... 1st off get fricked for that.

2nd off, Kuminga is still the better well rounded player and has way more potential. Lets completely ignore the extra 4 years of growth he has to mature while already being better than Herb.

Y'all really want to start another player discussion on value? Really worked out for y'all arguing against me about BI and Dyson....

BI won't shoot 3's and is getting 30mil right? And Dyson's defense isn't good enough to outweigh his offense so he's for sure going to sit the bench and possibly never be a starter right?

Let's not forget all the shite I got for calling Hawk a dud as well.

You might need to take a little break. You referred to Kuminga as the Warriors “guy”. Yet their “guy” was heathy, and was a DNP in the playoffs. Do you see why some would laugh at your characterization as Kuminga being “their guy” when he doesn’t even get minutes in playoff games?? Again maybe a few hours off of posting.

After Steph went out Kuminga stepped up and became their #1-2 option along with Jimmy. You are trying to make a point about a guy BEFORE he stepped up in the playoffs and made a serious impact.

Which event happened more recently? Him getting benched or him being a top 2 playoff player for his team when it mattered?

You take a break dumbass.

So Podz and Kuminga for Herb, Hawkins, possibly Jose?

The market for Kuminga is nonexistent. No one wants to pay him what he wants.

Meanwhile, every team in the league is interested in Herb and Trey. Not only their talent , but their contracts.

Spin it however you want. In their first playoff game GS played 10 guys and Kuminga wasn’t one of them.

Yeah because teams would really be lining up to trade for Herb if he was making 30mil instead of 13....

The problem here is that y'all keep putting Herb and Trey in the same sentence like they are in the same stratosphere of player value.

Only you would think that a player who started out on the bench and ended up being their top 2 player is a bad thing... If it was a rookie we would be talking about how much potential they have. You aren't making sense.

You also can't say "damn look how bad that dude is playing while sitting on the bench".

You can say "wow that guy averaged 24pt playing in meaningful playoffs minutes."

Your argument is sad.

We get your point brother. Take it easy.

You value Kuminga maybe more than most on this board.
Herb is my favorite Pelican, but I have to admit getting a 22 yr old like Kuminga is tempting.
