I guess you're one of the many that see trade ideas from 'what I were do if I were the GM' rather than the reality of 'what Weavers/Dumars would do.'
I wouldn't do it either. But Weaver/Dumars might. All reports are theyre looking to win now and keep the 'core'of players here (lol). So adding Gobert would be adding a top rebounder and rim protector force- the exact weakness of the current Pels team-- and Gobert has gotten his teams to playoffs consistently and WCFs.
Hopefully they could get some other asset out of it, but I could see the Weaver/Dumars logic of it.
