sure, assuming you replaced an allstar caliber player in BI with another all-star caliber player that somehow makes a lot less money.

We aren't winning a championship without a BI caliber player playing with Zion.

Just stop worrying about the damn cap and tax in 4 years. It doesn't matter and we aren't making decision today b/c of the cap in 4 years. They barely give a shite about it for next year, right now, b/c they can always make trades in the offseason and next years deadline to fix it if needed.

It’s not even a question of if we “pay the tax”. The question Teddy actually asked is “Will Gale pay 20+mil into the tax”

I didn't ask that question.
You did.
I don't give a shite about what the tax situation is in 3 years b/c no one is thinking that far ahead b/c there are way too many things that will change by then.

No you said the “cap increase” will make it affordable.

I said you don’t know what you are talking about.

I then explained why you don’t know what you are talking about.

You thought that far ahead specifically to try and support your argument, dumbass. Hahahaha

You didn’t actually ask that question, it’s just what the realistic answer to the question was. You just couldn’t process that.

Zero chance Nance closes games if Allen is on this roster.

Jarrett Allen made a freaking All Star game, but you're treating him like he's backup center.

Allen is good. He's better than Val. He's better than Nance. He's better than Herb.

He'd inarguably close games over Nance, that's not even a discussion worthy of having.

He made the all star game in the East as an injury replacement. He is a good player (better than both JV and Nance). However, I would take Herb over him. Herb is the better defender and is developing a better offensive game at a lower price.

We need to stop saying this, he made the All-Star team as a replacement 4 seasons ago and hasnt been close since. Right now that's the outlier season

He's already on the roster anways. At some point, if the staff really believes in Trey, they need to let him grow. Maybe not this year but definitely by year 5.

Defensive range. JV works because Nance balances him out. Nance has to stay healthy for it to be viable. Trading for a guy like Allen just means you're trading skillets. Not sure if it makes us head and shoulders better but it's one of those things that looks good on paper.

I think the main concern is that JV is not under contract past this year and it appears Griff may not want to invest much in him past this year. We may have to search for a more cost effective younger replacement that fills our needs and we can pair with Larry. Whether that is someone like Richards, Okongwu, Stewart, Gafford or Carter, I do not know. But I would expect someone like that to be a target moreso than Allen.

No.
All i said was the cap increase will happen, as you seemed unaware of how much it would, and i don't give a shite about your math for our team in 3-4 years b/c i don't deem you to be a fortune teller.

relax my man. i put zero thought into whatever the hell you're so happy to claim a victory over. I simply wanted to make you aware the tax line will be increasing significantly.
I haven't processed anythign you've said, b/c what you're trying to talk about doesn't matter right now.

I apologize for riling your feathers by calling you a vagina. It obviously has really affected you in a negative way.

He's an allstar caliber player, which is a far cry from calling him a star player.
I"m not trying to say he's a star by calling him all-star caliber.
Middleton has made 3 all star teams. He's the same caliber player as BI. All-star appearances are popularity contests.

It's important to have guys like Jose on your team. He is loved by everyone, and isn't goign to cost much to be our backup PG for the next 3-4 years

won’t cost much” meaning what? We are legit at the tax or above the tax with extending Trey and BI. That’s NOT including Hawk/ Dyson.

This was a response to “the cap increase will help us”

and the nba is about to sign a massive new tv deal. The cap is projected to be $185M in 3 years, if not more. The tax line will be about $220M in 3 years, and continue to climb. Get your panties out your vagina. It'll be alright.

-full money breakdown explaining why this isn’t possible-

in the words of Shell "it ain't my money". Why do you care if we are a tax team? and just stop doing math on something 3-4 years out

I don’t care. I’m explaining why you are wrong and why would you responded back with doesn’t make sense.

Except a dude came in and posted exactly what I put on the next page from a reliable source…

The issue here is that you are dumb. I am not a fortune teller. I just have common sense and can do simple math…

If you ranked players in the league, BI would be in the 30-40 range. He's outside of regular all-star appearances, but he could make more games if others are hurt, which is how he got in the first time.

Why does everything I say have to be a pissing match? I’m on the wrong side of the argument I have 10 people saying stop. I’m on the right side and I have 10 people saying stop. For once can we tell the other guy to shut the frick up without me looking like an a-hole?

Easy solution would be flipping Liddell/ Zeller for Nick Richards. Upgrade without changing anything for the season.

Maybe that is an issue if people keep telling you that (not sure if the case). I was referring to both of you as it seems both want the last word. Btw, I like that move, but not sure it keeps us out of the tax.

That’s not the issue. The issue is that if I’m wrong everyone wants to let me fricking know. But if I’m right then no one wants to jump in other than telling me to shut the frick up for some reason.

Yeah I get carried away, but there’s substance there. At the very least give me that benefit of doubt every now and then. frick.

That happens because every debate you're in ends with you getting mad and calling every other poster names. So yea, those folks will be more likely to come back at you when you turn out to be wrong.

The alternative "logic" is that all Pels Talk posters are secretly teaming up against you.

Your call

I personally go by this theory lol hahaha.

All jokes aside, I still have my issues arguing constantly but I learned too tame it down and stick to the content of the argument- although many will tell you here I’m a work in progress on that. Overall, sometimes you completely can’t agree and thats ok.

Yes, yes you do.

For the record, i'm with Dan the Man. I've made a remarkable turnaround and you don't really see me in these pages long back and forth any more, and NOBODY IS GIVING ME CREDIT!!!!

Damn Pels Talk conspiracy, I tell ya.
