Have yall been getting blown up with texts and calls from Pels reps? It’s getting absurd how much is coming down the pipeline with their communications. 3 different reps have been blowing up my phone about the same few game day bundles almost daily now.

Sounds like bad news for attendance this coming season. Can’t say it isn’t deserved though.

This is going to maybe be the worst attendance season in the history of this franchise. There is absolutely zero buzz or excitement around the city for this team.

It starts in the front office. 26-56 and made 0 moves to get better. One thing about Louisiana they not going to support a team that isn’t serious about winning

It’s very simple if the team wins people go to the games if not, they won’t

There was a stretch about a month or two ago where I got a text or email every single day one week either trying to get me to buy Pels or Squadron plans. Different rep each time.

Everytime I receive a call or email I reply that I will NOT spend another dime until Joe DumARSE and Troy DMVeaver are no longer employed

Because they added Queen, Fears, and Bey? The most we've aded in a short time since CP3/ West/ Chandler/ Peja but okay.

Should reply:

"I will not spend another dime until you trade the players that the previous FO left to blame you for even though y'all are doing a good job with what you were given."

Let's continue to scapegoat the only 2 people bringing bright spots to the team because every other player, coach, manager failed them leading up to it.

We could fire Weaver/ Dumars tomorrow, not change anything and y'all will blame the new manager for the past 10 years of failures. Its an impressively dense mindset.

I had to opt out of texts because I was receiving so many texts, phone calls, and emails about pelicans and g league tickets.

You're right.

The constant in all of this is Gayle and her obnoxious, out of touch VPs that work under her. Selling the team is the only way this ship gets fixed.

Yep after we get a new owner. We are going to be able to sign the best free agents. When the next star asks for a trade the New Orleans Pelicans will be on the top of their list. Also we are going to get infinite lottery luck!!

This is a hilariously bad take. Does opportunity cost not mean anything? What about turning the team into the literal laughing stock of the league? They gave up the fifth and eighth pick in a better draft for Queen and they took on 2 years and 68 million of Jordan Poole to add Saddiq Bey. Not exactly great transactions there. Then, they kept a lame duck coach, allowed the team to win 26 games, have a glaring hole at center, and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to address it.

If you took a poll of worst front offices in the league, the Pels would win running away. Hell, the NBA just showed what they think of the direction and future of this team by giving them the most back to backs, least national TV games, and most 3 in 4 nights in the league with the schedule. We are a laughing stock and Joe and Troy, along with Gayle, are the chief reasons why.

No they didn't. They gave up #8 + #23 for Queen. If they gave up #5 and #8 for Queen then you'd actually have a reason to cry like a baby.

Dumars wasn't even with the organization when we traded the "#5" pick. (Exactly what I'm saying)

quote:

they took on 2 years and 68 million of Jordan Poole to add Saddiq Bey

Then we wouldn't have Bey and lose $34mil in cap space. If we let CJ walk then we just don't have that space. Both things were good.

Are you one of the special fans that think if we didn't get Poole we'd have an extra $34mil to spend????

"THEY" is Gayle, not Dumars/ Weaver... Your comment is proving exactly what I said. "THEY" didn't tear Murray's Achilles, trade for Murray who traded his Achilles, draft Zion, etcccc.

You are literally blaming Dumars for a coach who was already here and then ignoring the fact that he was the one who got rid of that same coach in his first year. Just wow.

quote:

Does opportunity cost not mean anything?

WTF does this mean? All (3) of Fears/ Queen/ Bey are individually better than any single asset we gave up so far.

Are you saying this while imagining a fake scenario where the picks we traded turn into Luka? Because it doesn't exist so this doesn't mean jack shite.

- Dumars fault Murray tore his achilles

- Dumars fault that David Griffin traded the Pacers pick

- Dumars fault that David Griffin drafted Zion

- Dumars fault that Griffin hired Willie. And frick Dumars for getting rid of Willie right?

- Dumars fault that our organization has been seen as a dumpster fire for 10+ years less than 1 full year into a rebuild as manager

Got it. Any other retarded takes while y'all are at it?

I said that its not Dumars/ Weaver fault and the response just lists a bunch of things David Griffin/ Gayle did before Dumars even existed. Can't make this shite up.

Do you actually believe the nonsense that you just posted? Let's take it one by one shall we?

quote:

Dumars wasn't even with the organization when we traded the "#5" pick.

Joe Dumars was hired by the Pelicans on April 16, 2025. The Pelicans traded picks with the Pacers on June 17, 2025. Haliburton initially injured his calf in game 5 of the Finals, the same day that the Pelicans executed the trade. It was absolutely Dumars and Weaver who executed the trade. They did this to have the ammo to go after Queen. So yes, the Pacers pick (which ironically ended up being a crown jewel from the BI trade) ended up being #5 in a loaded draft. We got the 23rd pick the previous year to bundle with our UNPROTECTED 1st for Queen. It is the very definition of awful asset management. We are a worse basketball team because of it.

quote:

Then we wouldn't have Bey and lose $34mil in cap space.

You do realize that trading for Poole wasn't the only option? For example, they could have held onto CJ until the deadline. Could they have gotten Myles Turner and Bobby Portis for CJ and filler at the deadline? Could they have found any other player last summer that would have been a contributor? You are acting like they had to take on two years and 68 million of an unplayable player to keep CJ's salary. It was an awful trade, even with Bey having a career year. I guess you feel that they had to pick up Hawkins' option (another awful decision) to not lose the 7 million too?

quote:

You are literally blaming Dumars for a coach who was already here and then ignoring the fact that he was the one who got rid of that same coach in his first year.

Joe said at least 10x publicly that it was his decision to keep Willie to evaluate him. Everyone knew that it was going to be a disaster. You don't get credit for firing someone after giving them the entire summer and training camp when everyone knew it wasn't going to work. It ended up being a wasted year because of this.

quote:

Are you saying this while imagining a fake scenario where the picks we traded turn into Luka?

No, I am saying that I would have much rather had the fifth pick and our pick in this year's drafts over Queen. I am saying that the Pels would have had a more successful season with a new coach from day one last year. I am saying that the Poole trade was awful and could have been handled much better. I am saying that CJ, the Indiana pick, or our own pick this year would have been much better used on an actual NBA center and depth pieces. We currently have 41 million dollars of payroll right now that are unplayable. Joe and Troy are the direct reason for all 41 million of it. We still don't have a starting center. Defending Joe and Troy and what they have done in the last year and a half is quite the stance.

No.

You think there was a better option than Poole coming off that season and Bey?

He wasn't unplayable, that's revisionist bullshite. And yes that's exactly what had do happen.
quote:

You wouldn't have had the 5th pick. The Pacers tanked because they had the pick, this has been explained ad nauseum.

Ok you got me here, but the #5 pick was never traded by the Pelicans.

quote:

They did this to have the ammo to go after Queen.

This is a WILD take. Insane actually.

They didn't trade the pick gambling that the team currently in the Finals would finish higher than #23? They did it because during the NBA finals, months before the lottery or draft they knew they would trade for Queen while not knowing their own draft picks, who was available, or if Queen would even still be there? That's crazy man.

If you take 10 seconds to view these moves in the moment and not through a revisionalist lense with the influence of negative bias then you'd see they really weren't bad moves. They are even better moves when you realize we are actually making moves.
