Pelicans Talk Offseason Challenge #1: Go All-In on Offense

Will be doing a few of these challenges this offseason for anyone that is interested in playing around with it.
This is the first challenge:
Parameters:
1) Create the best OFFENSIVE team you can. Defense isn't your concern in the slightest. frick Defense.
2) You can trade anyone (including S&Ts) and any asset you want except for Zion.
3) Trades and signings have to be somewhat realistic. You can't send 3 firsts for Kevin Durant because he isn't being traded. You must do it for players that could actually be had for the right price.
4) This is strictly players and draft picks. Coaches and Front Office changes have nothing to do with this.
Have at it.

It'd probably have to start with something like Kemba+Beal or Dame+Porzingas...or do we not have enough salaries to match to make either doable?

Cool idea. I'll take a quick shot at it.
1) Bled, Kira, 4 firsts (not 10), 4 seconds, 1 swap for Zach Lavine
2) Draft Corey Kipsert at 10
3) Adams, 2 firsts for Myles Turner
4) Sign and Trade Zo straight up for Duncan Robinson
5) Let Hart walk and use that space to sign Gary Trent Jr
6) Find a backup vet point like DJ Augustin or someone of that nature
Lavine
Duncan Rob
Ingram
Zion
Turner- Note, I’d still want Hayes playing 25-30 mins a game as top backup for C and PF
Bench
Augistine
NAW
Gary Trent
Kipsert
Hayes
Naji
Didi
Wenyen
James J
Billy

If recent trends persist, We will build up on defense, get all defensive players and eventually hire an offensive coach.

That isn't getting you Lillard.

Meant to put 2 more firsts to Portland instead of Wizards, my b

If you can, specify what picks are going where.
Based on the Stepien rule, 7 picks (including all Lakers and Bucks picks) would be right around where we could top out.

To easy.
S&T Ball to Miami 4/80 for Duncan on a 4/75.
Bledsoe to Lakers, Kuzma to Blazers, Adams to Blazers, 2022 Lakers 1st (top 4 protected) to Blazers, CJ to Pels
Hart S&T to Wizards for Bertans
Re-sign Willy
Draft Kispart at 10
CJ/Kira
Duncan/NAW/Didi
Ingram/Kispart/Naji
Zion/Bertans/Wenyen
Hayes/Willy

Not a legal trade, we wouldn't have the cap space to absorb 39 million into.

The Lakers are trading Kuzma for Adams? I don't love Kuzma but what am I missing here? They could do much better than that.

Ball-handling would be a severe issue. You've basically only got Zion as your primary ball handler/creator in this lineup and I don't know that he is ready for that. Neither CJ nor Duncan are primary ball-handlers to me.

Kuzma for Bledsoe (get another Klutch guy to appease Lebron)
CJ is a pretty good ball handler in his own right, you just never see it because they have Dame. You have Zion, CJ and Ingram that can all initiate offense, plus you have room and assets to go after a big that can initiate (like Sabonis)

Sorry I meant Bledsoe.
In what universe would the Lakers even remotely consider that?

Yes we would, we would be sending out more than that in the trade, Bledsoe and Adams alone is $35 million. TradeNBA takes into account cap rules and what not

Can’t really dig into the minutiae of the stack of picks we have at the moment (i tried for a sec and got a headache lol), but I’m sending a total of 6 firsts out. 4 for Lavine and 2 for Turner. I think between our picks, laker picks, and bucks picks, and the timing/execution of the trades we would be able to do it legally relatively easily.

In my universe, because, well frick Lebron and the Lakers
Seriously though, Kuzma sucks and they won't get much of anything for him, so might as well get Lebum one of "his" guys.

They'll get better than Bledsoe.

That's a lot to give up for Zach Lavine. I could just be holding onto biases.
