Not sure who is available, but we still have money now that Cousins is gone. Randle on the MLE and Payton on the BAE.

Boogie why did you decide to sell your soul to the devil and join Golden State?

No they don’t. You don’t get exceptions like the MLE and BAE if you have cap space.

I don’t think that’s accurate.

We are over the cap. We’ve now used both exceptions.

We can make no moves at all except trades.

Have we actually signed anyone yet?
If we dont have cousins hold and salary, aren't we under the cap?

I’m no cap guru but I guess we would be 7 million under the cap if we haven’t signed anyone yet?

But we also can’t use exceptions if we aren’t over the cap, and we can’t go over the cap to sign FAs that aren’t our own so...

I don’t know at this point.

Without Cousins’ cap hold we are at 92.4 mil in salary without Liggins, Miller, Okafor, and Diallo’s contracts which are all non guaranteed yet.

Randle and Payton don’t become official until the 6th

We can sign a guy to a 7 mil contract and a minimum contract to be over

Miller is actually a useful player on a good contract. We wouldn’t renounce him.

All things considered, losing Boogie for Randle is a plus for this season. Still won’t have Bird rights to resign him if he opts out though. Boogie’s basically got a redshirt season because of his Achilles tear and there is no telling if he ever regains even some of his ability.

A three headed monster of Randle, AD, and Niko sure keeps the game plan we had with Cousins.

Still not sure Payton is capable of starting at point for us, though. I’d want another guard but we’re not likely to get someone with Rondo’s leadership.

Any chance we go dumpster diving for Isiah Thomas? Not like he is looking at big money right now.

If nothing has officially happened yet, then we have to be operating under the cap, right? We've renounced cousins hold, nothing else has happened officially.

So at this point we have to get over the cap to use the exceptions.
