I dont know if that's possible, but im not a cap guy.
You can't sign players from other teams, go over the cap, then be a over the cap team. You either are are you arent before free agency starts if I remember correctly from last year with jrue.

Yeah I don’t know either. Could we get close to the cap, then re-sign Clark with a raise to get over the cap?

Yeah I'm confused on where we stand now. I figure we want to operate as an over-the-cap team but not sure how we get there.

A trade is probably coming where we take back extra salary to put us over the cap.

My understanding is every team under the tax gets the mle plus bae. A team under the tax can then renounce those exeptions to use capspace and get the room exception. So my guess is barring a trade pels will just choose not to use the small amount of space, and keep the (randle) plus bae (peyton).

I wonder if the Lakers have any incentive to do a S&T of Rondo for Randle (after we renounce Boogie).

Can’t even if they wanted to. Rondo had no Bird rights due to a 1 year deal.
