Sources with @ShamsCharania: Pelicans and Director of Player Personnel David Booth have mutually parted ways. New Orleans added Trajan Langdon as GM on Sunday. Booth has been respected member of the front office for close to a decade.

I'm assuming that Langdon and Griffin are starting to bring in all of their own people.

And that is a good thing. I'm sorry for David but it is time to move on. I don't think he will be without a job.

They should part ways with anyone with the title Director of anything that worked here previously. Can anyone name any department that the Pelicans excelled in under the leadership of the existing directors?

I thought Booth was pretty highly thought of. He may have thought he deserved the GM role and decided to leave once Langdon got the gig.

Trajan Langdon is about to take control of scouting. Probably heavy on international leagues. Booth is not the right fit.

He may be, but I'm quite sure that Griffdon want a new start and their own people that they are familiar with and trust.

Also, AD as a player hated the org, Boogie doesn't have many nice things to say about us, we hardly retain anyone worth retaining, so what exactly did that guy do?

Fletch tweeted (so take it with a grain of salt) that David Booth was Dell’s right hand man and “figured this was coming.”

Either way David Griffin has set this offseason on fire & is dominating the headlines. There’s even a ticker on ESPN about Griff calling Zion rumors of to not wanting to come to Nola a false narrative

i've been a STH since they got here and i like to think i pay attention to the team...i have never heard of this guy

which is a symptom of the unnecessarily insular and secretive way the demps front office did business, and why it is so exhilarating to even see david griffin quoted, much less giving televised interviews.

you have to communicate if you want to influence behavior

I love what they are doing right now. Never want to see someone lose a job but this organization has needed a cleansing for years.

On another note I hope that was wannabe woj source

I hope it wasn’t his only source. I kinda liked Crewz. He was a jerk at times but he did give great insider info.

I wonder when the next ball drops? Heard a tidbit that makes me think Chasanoff may be next to go.

Pretty sure we can surmise that anyone in a high level position like that in Personnel, Scouting, or Analytics is about to get got.

Also: what tidbit would that be?
