re: Pelicans are the only team in the league to not add a single player from another roster

I'll give you that, but if you're 15th this past season you should be considerably better than your W/L record
With your PG missing more than half the season? I'm not really disagreeing with the fact that we should have been better than we were.
You could easily argue the 2 most important roster positions are C and PG. And for some reason this dumb arse franchise has decide to stack our rosters with nothing but SF- PF the last 20 years like a bunch of retards.
Missing Murray hurt alot last year and not having a true starting C makes it worse, doesn't really matter what we do from 2-4. Change those 2 things for this season and it should be night/ day.
Pels "success" has come in 2 waves. Rondo + Cousin and CP3 + Chandler. And that's it. Full season of Murray + a Center should be huge for us.

If you wanted Dumars to make some moves to try to win this year then I'd understand why you are upset
People want a plan. They want competence.
Whether that's being aggressive to win now, or selling a bit to start clearing the lane for Fears/Queen, a cohesive, well thought out plan to move forward is what people want
Instead they are stuck in neutral on a team that has won a combined less than 50 games in two years.

What would it take for you to think "Ok well no more excuses"
How many losing seasons would it take? How many bad moves? How many no moves? How many years without a playoff series win?
At what point would you say, ok this is a bad FO? This is a bad franchise? This is a bad ownership?
I am genuinely curious

I agree about wanting a plan, but I don't want to see this team sell future assets so they can attempt to win with this current iteration of the team. It's just not happening, and trading for Myles Turner is not making this team a competitor. If I had it my way I would like to see them deal Trey and Herb right now and go all in on the rebuild around Fears and Queen. I just don't mind seeing how the beginning of this year plays out before making any drastic moves.
If this team sucks again and Dumars still doesn't make any moves then I am on board with you all. I just don't think its necessary to make any crazy moves this offseason, we have a multi year rebuild on our hands.

Other teams haven't had injury luck/ issues like we have.
I'm so sick and tired of this pussy arse excuse so many Pels fans make every year.
And it wasn't even true for this year. Our supposed best player was healthy the entire year, and so was our 2nd best player.
Year 7 of what was supposed to be a generational talent, and he's finally healthy, and he couldn't even find a way to get us 30 wins.
It's real fun watching Anthony Edwards, Cade Cunningham, Banchero and Wemby lead their teams to the playoffs, and soon to be Cooper Flagg.
Meanwhile we're just going to run it back with our 26 win roster.

Dumars could sneeze and y'all would be able to attribute that to negativity impacting the Pelicans
That's because he has zero clue what to do

The Thunder had injuries.

If we are bad again then we will get a really high (potentially number 1 overall) pick from either us or the Bucks, Poole and Hawkins contracts expire, you can deal Murphy/Herb at the deadline, and Zion/Dejounte both become expiring contracts and much easier to move next offseason.
Worst case scenario: good draft pick and we move on from Z, Herb, etccc.
On the flip side there's a chance we can be competitive or maybe atleast (1) of Z/ Murray step up to be a piece we shouldn't move.
I understand this plan. My issue is that it doesn't work if you don't add a few pieces. In order for this to be worth it then we need to TRY to compete. That doesn't mean trade everyone, but it does mean you need to add missing pieces.
These pieces do not have to be J Brown, Wemby, etcccc. Something as simple as M Turner + S Hauser would be huge for this team and give us a chance to make a run.
Poole/ Hawk for Turner/ Hauser works salary wise and i'd give a (1) 1st + (4) 2nds. I'd prob give 2 1sts honestly.

I am very glad you are not in charge.

You don't think M Turner and S Hauser are worth a 1st and a few 2nds? Not saying to give them an unprotected Top 5 pick but a lottery protected 1st and 2nds could get that done.

I know, we have 3. I would give them 4. Would y'all not trade a protected 1st and multiple 2nds for Turner/ Hauser?

Would I give up our only 3 2nd round picks in the next 7 years?
No, we need more of them, not less. Look at the players given up this offseason for 2nds as basically dumps, a bunch of them we could’ve used. If Milwaukee wouldn’t take Turner for Poole which is more than fair with all the extra salary we are eating, then fine.
And not sure where the Hauser talk is coming from, we have plenty of wings, only reason to trade for him is if we’re trading Trey or Herb to Boston, which in that case Boston would be sending us picks.

I would actually be intrigued if they let someone in here run the team for a year. Its better than what we have been seeing

Murray has played 45 games for this franchise and they’re 14-31 in those games. You can make whatever excuse you want, but you do make points about PG and C (the root of the discussion), this roster is devoid of talent and the talent they do have doesn’t mix. Nobody is saying go out and make moves for the sake of making moves, but sitting on your hands and hoping things are different in the definition of insanity. Maybe they win 30+ games next season, but they still won’t come close to satisfying the fanbase.

Delusional but teams were wanting to trade for players on this roster

I think we should all commend Dan (and not just because he’s the man) for helping Chad fellate our ownership and front office. It definitely needs more than one person for so Herculean a task.

We would 100% be committed to a direction instead of purgatory.
And if it led to Mrs benson selling the team to Todd Graves? Even better.
I’m on board
