Accidently giving Deandre Jordan 3 million dollars is not a big deal we couldn't have used that money on anyone anyway. Three million will get you no one, it was good we threw it away.
"Accidentally" giving him the money is not a proven theory at the moment.
If y'all are being honest then you'd understand that the Pels will give a legit reason and y'all will still either claim its a lie and we fricked up or still make it a negative even though there was a specific reason.
I never said $3mil would get you no one. I specifically said it they would be #15 or a have a very limited impact. So yes, more useless than DJ if keeping DJ actually increases the impact on Missi/ Queen who as a whole will have way more ceiling than that $3mil player..
You are choosing to invest in both of Missi/ Queen or choosing to invest in Zaire Williams.... You aren't making the point you think you are.
Y'all rarely ever do.

Ironic because this could be said for virtually every post you make
The point is the franchise is shite and constantly makes shite decisions and has done so for decades.
Unlike you, I actually want this team to make moves to get better. I don't try to be pretend GM so i don't know what those moves are but I know standing in place and doing nothing with a shite roster is not one of them.
But hey, according to you, we still have FOUR potential all stars on the team. If only we could be so wise as Dan the man!
Really looking forward to being 7-30 midseason and hearing from you about all the wonderful things the team, Joe, Gayle, and co. are doing. Keep up the hard work.

Just to inform all of you, last year's offseason had 19 trades completed outside of the draft day trades.
17 of those 19 trades were completed by July 13th.
the 18th trade was on August 15th involving Haywood Highsmith and 2nd round picks.
the 19th trade was on September 15th involving Kobe Bufkin, who's now on our summer league team.
Talk about some really significant trades happening after early/mid July. The last significant trade happened on July 8th with MPJ and Cam Johnson.
2024 was somewhat similar. Last significant trade happened on July 8th. The KAT trade happened on October 2nd.
you can look at most years and the last significant trades happen in that early to mid July time frame. Big blockbuster trades may happen late september early october, like KAT to Knicks, or Lillard to Bucks, or Mitchell to the Cavs.
So don't expect anything to happen here. Lebron isn't being traded. He's being signed. There aren't any other big stars left that are expected to be moved. If we were going to trade anyone, it would have happened already.

Were you one of the people crying about trading Jose?

And because of this there is absolutely no world where a good decision can be made going forward? That's an extremely logical and level headed opinion.

(3) Murray/ Zion/ Trey. And actually 5... Including Fears/ Queen.
I was wrong about Poole. But Bey exceeded expectations tenfold so it doesnt hurt my feelings.

I liked Jose, but no, I did not cry. But I certainly wasn't mad at those crying because some people are just actual fans and get attached to players and theirs nothing wrong with that.

What? Where did I say that? I'm virtually begging the team to at least try and do something to make the team better and they are stuck in the mud doing nothing. Quite literally, the only team in the league doing nothing to get better. Standing still with this roster is not a good thing.

Its difficult to take you seriously with comments like this. Just shows how mentally broken and distraught you are from a sports team.
During the '24-'25 season when we were by far the worst we've looked and destroted with injuries we went 13-28....
And there's 41 games mid season, not 37..
I'm really not a sunshine pumper, y'all are just that disgruntled.

Dude, it was a random bad record, I wasn't going for an exact midseason date or perfect prediction you dork.

We added Queen, Fears, and Bey. That's doing something... Ita not good enough because it never will be. Y'all really have trouble understanding that. You are begging the team to do something and then refusing to acknowledge it when they do. Legit unstable.
quote:2 of those guys were already all-stars. Yes Trey, Queen, Fears all have potential to be all stars.
Doubling down and now we have a whole lineup of all-stars
You laughing at this without even considering that its a possibility or logical is my point to all of this.
I said something not that crazy and its crazy to you because.. Well unstable.

No, you were purposely showing how much distain you have for the team and blatantly claimed our team will be worse than the worst we've ever been while purposely refusing any logic such as having higher quality assets like Queen/ Fears/ Bey.
You were being blatantly pessimistic, that's it. I wish y'all would accept this instead of continuing to argue agaisnt logic with bullshite.
When someone can give me an honest argument without bias then we will get somewhere.
Something like "Man, we may go 20-21 to start the season but there's a world where we can go 26-15 if the Fears/ Queen/ Bey can improve and our players stay healthy."
We went 17-23 without Murray and before Bey/ Queen/ Fears really got important minutes. So the statement above would be fair and also still leaves room for struggles.
That's what being unbiased looks like since y'all don't have a fricking clue.
But y'all don't... You stay stupid fricking shite like "we will go 7-30 or "im hoping for something good to happen because Fears/ Queen Bey don't exist in my eyes".
What do you want from me? Maybe meet me somewhere in the middle like a normal non emotional secure human being and the conversations will be different.
Until that happens y'all are a joke.

Ok so now I make a statement, explain the statement, and I get a "NO NO NO THATS NOT WHAT YOU MEANT YOU MEANT THIS WILL BE THE WORST TEAM IN FRANCHISE HISTORY!!" You are weird dude.
I don't know what our exact record will be. I know we will suck. I know we do not have 5 potential all stars. i know that we are not getting any better outside of potential growth from Queen and Fears. I know that we will be one of the worst teams in the entire league. I have become a pessimist with this team because there is no reason for optimism outside of potential development of Fears and maybe Queen. But as of right now it looks like even if Fears becomes a star it will be a like Fox wasting away in Sacramento because our front office has no idea how to improve the roster around him.
Is that clear enough for you?

"There is no reason for optimism other than the 2 things that are optimistic that I will refuse to be optimistic about"
Yes this was very clear and confirmed what I've been saying for the last page.

This is you hoping for the team to try and do something while simultaneously admitting you will continue to be pessimistic even if/ when/ while we do.

Yes, I have the ability to look at the team, management, and ownership and realize that the negative outweighs the good. Fears might turn out to be a great player, I certainly hope he does. I have doubts about Queen but curious to see his development. Those two things do not make me optimistic about the team as a whole.

Now we are getting somewhere. The team itself could change at anytime. The clear path for the future relies on Fears/ Queen. You shouldn't be pessimistic about the future of Queen/ Fears due to things like Z being on the roster.
I'm not optimistic we are contenders this year. I do believe we can easily be a middle of the pack playoff team.
I'm optimistic because we have building blocks for the future and many talented assets to choose between for the future.
Instead of writing the season off maybe view it as an audition. I'm excited to see the development of Missi/ Queen/ Fears. I'm also excided to see if any of Zion/ Murray/ Trey can be written in as a long term piece next to those guys.
The optimism is that we are not building around Zion Williamson even if he's on the roster. Fans can't seem to disconnect the 2.
Some people are so blinded by past moves and players like Zion still being here that they can't process that we are indeed rebuilding and making plans for the future.
You do not have to only be optimistic or pessimistic. There is a world where you can be optimistic with doubt.

Dumars did not draft Z or manage his time here. He didn't make Murray tear his achilles. He didn't make Trey scared to create his own shot.
He isn't responsible for most of the things the pessimism is driven from.
What has he done?
1. Benched Zion for players who looked better.
2. Convinced Murray to not trash the franchise or leave.
3. Drafted 2 guys who can be the future of the org
4. Swapped CJ for someone who is not only better than him but 9 years younger
The last 20 years of Pelicans franchise deserve pessimism. Joe Dumars deserves optimism with reasonable doubt until we really see how this shakes out.
