Sucks that we could have had Brown for AD and Griff wanted the Lakers package instead. And have nothing to show for that trade now.

Was it? The rumor was one of brown or Tatum was available - not both together which people kept referencing.

Multiple people from Toní's camp said hes only signing extension with the Lakers, effectively killing any shot of us trading him for Brown or Tatum.

If he was willing to sign the extension, the offer was for brown and Tatum.

The Celtics did offer up Brown and Smart for the rental to convince him.

Brown and Tatum weren’t what they are now. Half the board thought BI was better than both and still wanted the lakers package even if both were offered.

I argued with McNanara on here about it. He didn’t think either would be an all star and wanted BI lol.

It was reported without the extension, Celtics still offered Brown but no Tatum.

I know you're still butthurt about Dysons bad playoffs debut, but theres no need to spin anything. The Celtics were out. Like always out. It was always going to be the Lakers.

Maybe u still butt hurt from the Dyson vs Herb thread. Since it couldnt continue b/c only one player started in the playoffs…

You know how many teams still make trades after players refused to sign extensions then changed their minds. (Paul George, Donovan Mitchell) Celtics still put out an offer. Irving, AD and Hayward were gonna be their big 3. Tatum had some value but Brown was an after thought at the time.

Would rather trade a package of Zion/ Herb than Trey. And I said this months ago.

Jaylen Brown is an exponentially better basketball player than Trey Murphy

I mean that's not even a question. Jaylen Brown is actually underrated imo. He carried that team all yr.

Dumars was really aggressive 25 yrs ago with Pistons, I expect him to do the same. And 46% chance it works.

Peavy may or may not be worth a shot, but Hawkins has certainly missed every one his

I have wanted Zion gone for so long now and his value right now is as high as it's been since probably year two. I would much rather it be ion over Trey that goes. BUT... that lineup right there is competitive.

At this point about as much as we can hope for is a lineup that can compete. Not for a championship, just be respectable night in and night out. That could be a fun team to watch.
