I'm a YouTube TV guy! Since no deal has been announced yet to view the games on YTTV, I'm just going to get the monthly subscription until I know what's going on between them and the Pels.

I'd suggest waiting a couple of more days.

I did the same. Just got the monthly for now. I’ve wasted $15 on way worse if that’s how it goes down

How does one who has YouTube TV use the free option(option 1)?

Get an antenna for 10-20 bucks and plug it into your tv!

There’s another option: I bought a 99 dollar “Tablo” device. It’s basically a WiFi dvr. You plug your antenna into the tablo and then you can watch the OTA channels on any tv in house via tablo app

What area are you in? I am in Lafayette. I bought an antenna. Still have no clue how to get the games.

If the $15/month is actually $15/30 days (and not calendar month like October, November, etc...) then it is cheaper to pay monthly as the season is only 175 days long so it would be $90 for the season.

Unless they charge you the full monthly price for the month of October.

Why is it more expensive to pay for the whole season vs paying monthly?

regular season is 6 months of basketball.
6 months X $15 = $90.

It says nationally televised games will be blacked out on Pelicans+ so I presume I wouldnt be able to use it for playoffs aka a 7th month.

Side note: I thought I was going to be able to watch games on Youtube.TV this year?! All this television cable/streaming crap is too difficult to easily figure out. I feel like I'll be waiting until after work Wednesday to make the call on getting Pelicans+ vs seeing if its available in BR for YTTV.

Maybe you get more than just Pels games. They have talked about making the new network local sports focused. Do you like watching random high school football games? Is that worth $9 more to you

Was anyone else in an area that was listed as having GCSEN on an OTA channel but unable to watch the game last night?

Here in Birmingham, 6.3 did not show the game.

Not a chance. If I end up paying the extra few dollars over that 6month span for no reason, itll simply be because I want to get the payment out the way and not billed monthly

I noticed this as well. Seems rather odd to present it that way.

what does this mean?

I watched the game yesteray on 9.3.
the quality was HD actually, shitty HD, but a lot better than the unwatchable crap it was being broadcasted in last year.
