I mean, I would be too if I was another owner.

This whole thing just sucks.

Seriously, if the other owners don't want the Lakers getting CP3, someone should make a better offer. We're going to end up having a whiney bitch CP3 all season, he's going to play well enough for us to draft in the teens in one of the best drafts in a long time, then leave for nothing.

i dont understand; the NBA knew we were dangling paul. Why not put an end to the talks before they even start?

Because the deal went down at the same time the owners were meeting to ratify the new CBA. I wonder if there's a tiny chance what's going down tonight could kill the CBA. Owners aren't happy with the trade, players will be furious at it getting killed.

It's alright if y'all are tired of explaining it but what is the deal here, what's going on? Why wouldn't the deal go through? TIA

I'm pretty sure the owners are furious about CP3 and WWW trying to force his way to the Lakers and undercutting every other offer. I'm sure they're daring the players to blink. It would not get better for the players.

Chances are the owners pulled it at that moment BECAUSE the players already voted to ratify it earlier today.

Can't they push the deal through Saturday after the owners sign the deal?

I'm sure their bylaws allow them to overturn that vote in light of such a major change of circumstances.
