Let's be honest. It's the Lakers getting Chris Paul. They'll allow it.
Allow it? I'm sure they influenced it. Keep the Hornets decent long enough to finalize a deal and build another superLakers team.

Wow, so we're back in buttfrick mode if that happened.
No shite. If it's Okafor, I'll soften considerably. If Scola, it's a terrible trade.

Any deal involving the Lakers and a top
10 NBA superstar player will be allowed
regardless of cap/trade rules in place.
Deal with it small market teams.
It reads something like that.

I don't think you can break it down into two trades.
you are right, they would have to wait 60 days. maybe they could just do it in 1 deal.
You can do it in two trades under certain circumstances.
1. You don't package any other players with them on the subsequent moves.
As in, "We get Pau, then turn and flip Pau to Houston for players"
OR
2. You do it within 48 hours of acquiring a player
All deals we're doing would fall into category #2.

No we should do my trade.

The NBA is now pushing New Orleans GM Dell Demps to pull the plug on the trade and keep Chris Paul, league sources tell Y! Sports.
