So five potential all stars.
I want you to be honest (I know that's not likely), do you actually think that I think this means we have 5 guys making the all star game the same year?
5 "potential all stars" = 5 guys with potential to be all stars.

Forgive me if I took this as you meaning we were easily a middle of the pack playoff team...
I forgive you. This is exactly what I said. So outside of the Top 12 teams and in the playoffs. I do not expect us to be better than the Top 6 teams in either conference but expect us to make the playoffs.
But continue to exaggerate...
Z/ Murray were already all stars so they are excluded from that discussion. Can we get you on record saying that you do not think any of Fears/ Trey/ Queen can/ will be all stars?

What teams in the west will we be better than?
Not gonna say it’s a lot of teams, but pretty easily should be better than Kings, Grizzlies, and Jazz. I’d think with all teams healthy we’d be somewhere in the Mavs, Blazers, Suns tier of teams.

And Clippers.
Should realistically be better than DAL considering we already should be better and right now the only difference is +Murray vs + Risacher.
Blazers/ Suns/ MIN/ Pels are your floaters. No clue what MIN looks like without Reid/ Randle and with two ball dominant guards.

Dallas depends on Kyrie

And Flagg. Both of then would need to play very very well all year to keep them out the bottom 5.

Bottom line...given the new 3-2-1 lottery system, I doubt ANY team will want to finish in the bottom 3 of the final standings and hurt their odds come lottery time. So...the days of teams purposely going 20-62 (or worse) are probably over, which means a bunch of easy wins will no longer be available for a team like the Pelicans.
So, whatever prediction you have for Pelicans over/under next season...if you haven't considered that variable...I probably would...if I were you.

The Pelicans went 26-56 last season and somehow followed it up with an offseason featuring no trades, no free-agent signings, and 14 of the same 15 players returning
Don't forget didn't draft anyone either.
or that Zion and Trey were healthy last year.
But yeah that addition of Murray returning from injury for this year is going to be what propels us in that playoff push.

Kings and Grizzlies, yes.
a healthy Jazz team is going to be better than us.
Our floor is bottom 3, easily
If things go somewhat good then we are sitting comfortably outside the play in.
if things go awesome, we're a play-in team not playing at home.

Probably not a playoff push, but Murray didnt play much and year one back from achilles is usually rough.
You also have to think fears and queen should be better as well.

Nope it’s only possible for all 29 other teams to have internal development

"Is going to be better than us is" is a pretty blatant comment. Not that they can be or might be better? The Jazz are better than us no questions ask.. Come on. Y'all don't even try to have fair conversations on here.
To put into perspective how fricking ridiculous comments like this are: The Jazz haven't finished above the Pels since 2021-2022 and were worse through the entire dark ages of the Pels...
I mean just say you hate the Pels and would rather throw shite at a wall than have any optimism.

So whatever prediction you have for every single team in the NBA needs to be adjusted and seeding doesn't change at all.

That's interesting because less than 10 teams added (2) lottery picks the last 2 years which puts the Pels in the Top 66% of draft assets the last 2 seasons. The fact that both of these assets finished Top 8 on a redraft should probably push us to Top 80% of draft assets vs other teams.
Wild how math works when teams add 1 player per year and we added 2 in 1 year.
But instead of praising the Pels for having 1 of the best draft classes in a 2 year period without even having a pick we will talk shite about them because why not!
Why would we give them credit for something positive when we can spin it as the worst thing ever and stay miserable?

The Jazz have not been trying to win. They literally have been fined for this. That's changing this year as they have made moves that indicate they are ready to start tryign to win every night.
Markannen and JJJ are a formidable duo down low now, throw in Nurkic and Bamba to help and it's going to be really difficult for anyone to rebound against them.
Keyonte George had a breakout year and looks like a future all-star.
Bailey had a decent year last year and they have the #2 pick in the draft ready to go.
There's a ton of excitement for the Jazz this season.
There is literally zero excitement outside of seeing Fears and Queen's progression for this Pels season.
here's the o/u for some of these teams on DK
Kings 21.5
Nets 22.5
Bucks 24.5
Bulls 24.5
Clippers 27.5
Pels 27.5
Grizzlies 28.5
Jazz 35.5
Mavs 35.5
Suns 40.5
Blazers 43.5
Don't sit here and try to tell me i'm fricking ridiculous for thinking the Jazz are likely going to be better than us this year and i'm just being negative. It's the reality of situation, you're just too blind to see the reality through your ridiculous optimism.

I don't just blindly have optimism no matter what, aka sunshine pumping. I need a reason to. Outside of Fears/Queen, theres no reason to be optimistic about this season.
I've been optimistic and excited every offseason for the last 23 fricking years. This is the first year i'm not.

The fact he's lasted as long as he did is a testament to how woke DisneyABC/ESPN is. Any other company he would have been fired years ago.
I get this .. but at the same time Herb missed 20+ games, Murray missed almost 70.. hell, even Trey missed almost 20.
I dont blame them for looking at the roster and thinking "well if everyone stays healthy we arent that bad".... but you would also be betting on something that has never happened to happen

Man we mentioning Mo Bamba and Jusuf Nurkic to prop up the Jazz. Everything else valid tho

I love what the Mavs did this offseason, and they are loaded. They are 2 deep the whole roster, plus they still have the ammo for a huge deal, without touching their young core. I'll wait and see what else they do, but if they stay intact they are at least a play in team..

well they are backup players. Nurkic is a pain in the arse to play against b/c of his strength, just like JV has always been. he beats guys down. Mo Bamba probably sucks though.
