Hi folks,

Did anyone else read, I believe it was either Sporting News or SI, proposed trade of Zion to OKC for a 1st, last year's first Topic, Wiggins, and Kenrich.

What do you think ? I would prefer they add a little, like a couple of 2nds or Cason Wallace, but I know OKC was really high on Topic last year...that's why they were willing to wait out his injury. It, in effect, becomes two 1sts...

I am not particularly sold on Williams,

Sorry, forgot to add that JRE would also be included. Would rather him than Kenrich...but that's just my opinion.

Please share opinions.... Blessed Lent.

Role Player good shooter. About to get paid.

Kenrich

Another role player

And a first that's gonna be bottom 5

I rather let him rot on the roster than that stupidity which does nothing aside from nearly securing a team is going to be a contender for 5 years.

Nico Harrison wouldn’t even consider that trade if he was the Pels GM.

What a shitfrick deal that would be. They’d have to throw in every first round pick until the end of time.

Holmgren, Topic, Dort and 10 of their 500 first round picks and I’ll think about it.

I saw this article a few days ago and laughed

Horrible package. This is the type of package we could get for Zion while he is injured for the next 18 months

I did like Topic coming out of the draft, so he would be a nice piece to add to a package highlighted by Chet

That is all I got

I can't see the Thunder being in the market for adding Zion...they're pretty good with the squad they have...and as the old saying goes..."If it ain't broke...don't fix it"...and the Thunder are nowhere near "broke"...

Yeah the only way they would entertain this is if they didn’t get to the WCF this year. Maybe if they got blown out in the WCF, they would still entertain trades.

I can't imagine the Thunder taking the ball out of SGA's hands as much as they would...if they got Zion.

On a side note...the team I could easily see making some serious moves if they don't do REALLY well in the playoffs...is the Nuggets. Another team that wouldn't want anything to do with Zion...since they have the Joker who I think will end up as a top 5 player of ALL TIME...right after Jordan and LeBron.

They can't afford to waste any more seasons with the Joker...as he seems the type that might get frustrated & just load up and go home to Serbia and mess with those horses of his.

Be interesting to see what the Nuggets do...if they flop in the playoffs...and of course, it's fairly easy to figure out who I wish the Nuggets would go after...to try & improve their defense.

An OKC first round pick will likely be the end of the first round. Not likely a starter so you’re giving him away for not much in return

Must be an OKC fan that wrote this. I’d hang up and laugh if Presti offered this.

Correct. even though Zion is a better player than Trey, Trey would be a more impactful player on their roster than Zion would.

Problem with Denver trying to make a move is they don’t have many assets. MPJ isn’t an asset, they don’t have much in the way of draft picks, they don’t really have any good young players that I know of, Murray just got vastly overpaid.

They have a mess over there IMO

Yep...amazing how they can have such a mess...with Joker on the team. Losing KCP to free agency was a terrible blow. Murray is actually starting to play better...but they have to find some way to unload Porter, Jr and his two more years of being vastly overpaid. Good luck with that.

Funny thing is...they are still probably the 2nd best team in the West and the 3rd best team in the NBA. Just goes to show how great Jokic really is.

Let's get more real.

Say the Pels land top pick this year for Flagg and Hornets pick is also top 5. They propose bringing Z back home to the Carolinas for 3 1sts (including a top 5 this year) 2 2nds and 2 swaps + whatever players on their roster not including Ball or Miller. Tempted?

You cash out on Z when his value is fairly high to mitigate future injury risks.

Hornets get a third young star to dominate in the paint and compliment Ball and Miller (+ Z goes to the East).

Pels reset with, say, a new starting 5 of CJ/Herb/Trey/Flagg/Missi with VJ Edgecomb/Murray working into starting lineup and a deeper bench of Miles Bridges/Olynyk/Jose/Boston/Karlo/Hawk/etc... + a restocked draft war chest.

Consider it?

Why would OKC want Zion? They are not going to want to commit to a shaky max salary type player and have to break up their core.
