Oklahoma City Thunder 2nd youngest team ever in Finals. Pels F.O. Needs to take note!

Impressive blow up Sam Presti did after losing Westbrook, Durant, and George. The guy struck gold with his rebuild. Could Dumars do the same if our Front Office gives him the tools? I think Shamit even said in one of his articles how professional and how OKC has all the tools meanwhile the Pelicans are like a poor man’s team
What do you think?

They can take note all they want but they won't be able to replicate what someone like Presti did. Presti is several levels above whatever we have.

You fools keep buying tickets. Gayle don’t give a shite about winning. They just want to turn a profit.

Spurs about to build a monster too. We are screwed in our division unless Dumars can find gold.

We are arguably the worst franchise in the NBA and near the bottom in ALL professional sports.

As a team...I luv the Thunder...but honesty compels me to admit they had 2 HEAVY "tank years"...and hit gold with Holmgren (instead of taking Jabari Smith)...and "fool's gold" with Giddey (who they managed to get the VERY important Caruso for)
Bottom line...they are a cut above all other teams because of their amazing DEFENSE...they have several "role" players that are just flat out monsters on the defensive end.

And NBA refs, for whatever reason, cannot see it when Lou Dort grabs people.

So the NBA refs are for small market teams now? You would think that would benefit us too?

SGA is everything wrong with basketball. I hate the bullshite foul drawing he plays for.

Dumars running the show basically guarantees a good span of winless seasons

Remember when we had Chris Paul? We still could not win.
Are we just jealous of OKC that they can pull this off?

The whole team is bad basketball. They initiate contact on offense and defense and then when they get push back, they flop for the foul. Can't have it both ways.

Yeah glad they are not doing that in the Pacers/Knicks series.
Offensive percentages is pretty impressive for Thunder even if they do flop. Timberwolves just allowed it to happen. Anthony Edwards certainly is not all that. Glad ESPN is calling him out. Anthony Edwards had a chance to be the next big thing in that series. He got owned.

They are about to win a ring and are still loaded on picks. 2 firsts this year and next year

They also have ownership that is not afraid to pay the luxury tax. They've done it 5 times.

For sure, they have skilled players that can shoot and defend. It's just that consistent flopping that chaps my hide.

We had the top two perimeter defensive players in the entire league on the same team. And Griff managed to screw it up.

Don't discount the #2 star of Jalen Williams. Dude puts up 22/5/5 with good shooting splits and plus defense.
Their team is young, but they are balanced.
Role players like dort, Wiggins, Wallace, and Caruso are a master class defensive rotation wings.
Their scouting and drafting has been fricking god tier.

I said this is another thread, but they are 25th in payroll this year. The whole team is signed for next year too and they aren't near the tax. They have tons of flexibility going forward. It's a potential 5-6 year run and they peaked early.
