To paraphrase Avon Barksdale, the thots see his country arse coming from miles away.

Even if all this is false, he puts himself around the wrong people. Golden States franchise player marries a good family woman that’s a chef.
Our franchise player fricks with nasty arse pornstars and guzzles Mountain Dew.
He’s a child mentally, in a grown man’s body. After a couple years in the building, listening to him speak and watching his body language, griff and Gayle should have known this dude can’t be the face of a franchise. He’s just too immature and weird. Extending him was the biggest mistake. Literally lighting money on fire.
I came to this realization about a year and half ago, which is why I wanted to trade Zion before we let it get to this point. The writing has been on the wall with this guy since his second year in the league, yet this franchise continues to throw good money after bad.

He has played an average of around 20-30 games a season and missed at least one entire season.
And we barely win 50% of the games he plays.

Agreed he’s done. Gayle already hated him. This is the final straw. Every year it’s something with him
Hell. We might actually see Zion play his heart out from here on out. No other team will want him now for sure bc of the craps that goes with him. He may be stuck in New Orleans until the wheels fall off now. He will need a new pay day. Low ball the shite out of him

Even if he’s innocent this is due to him making poor decisions and hanging with trashy people. Cut him and be done. We could be a capspace player and take back bad money for assets if Zion’s money isn’t on the books

well you’re not getting anything anyway. The tank would be inevitable with the current roster
This is the downright hilarious part. Pelicans win 50.9% of games Zion has played over 6 years (214 games). If Zion plays without BI, that percentage drops to 46.7% (60 games). Nothing in the data says that Zion is a real bell cow in the NBA.

I think Bunchy posted that they could void like 80% of it.

Exactly

This. His value isn’t going to go up. Him being on the team isn’t going to make us a playoff team. Rip the bandaid off. He’s more than likely gone next summer regardless

Most likely no, but you dont cut him now due to what very much looks like false allegations. That will make it even worse.

The man is immature and that has hardly improved and we want him to be the face of the franchise? lol

Non-Guaranteed Years:
The final three years of the contract (2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28) are not guaranteed, meaning the Pelicans can waive him after the 2024-25 season without financial ramifications.
Guaranteed Money:
Williamson can regain guarantee on the final three years of his contract by playing a sufficient number of games, meeting specific weight thresholds, and passing weight-in checkpoints.
