Miami has the ability to create a max slot this offseason, so yes it would work salary wise if they decline a couple options.

Or, they could just pick up those options and send salary out.

Not hard at all to make work guy.
Sure they do, if they renounce someone like Nunn, Robinson and/or Oladipo. Is it realistic they would do that to take on Adams and Ball?

I think #10 would be too steep. They messed up badly by refusing to put him in Harden talks. Herro's value is likely a late 1st right now with his late season slump and the reports about him being sort of a malcontent coming out.

The malconent could be a big issue. Otherwise, I would take a shot on him for a deal something like #10 for Herro and a lottery protected 2025 1st rounder.

No, all they have to do is pick up options for Iggy and Dragic, and that's plenty of salary. Then they can still re-sign Duncan, Nunn and Oladipo, and not have to renounce anybody.

Did his value really go from “won’t trade for Harden” to “attach a 1st for the 10th pick” in just a few months?

How bad did he play?

So, Pels would be taking on $35 million of add'l salary. Not really what you originally proposed.

Oh sorry, didn't realize some people on this board doesnt realize you have to make salary matching work...

And no, Pels don't have to take on that salary they could always be diverted to other teams.

First, in the offseason, you do not have to match salaries if the teams have available cap room or can create it. Second, that significantly imbalanced trade that you proposed is why you got some of the questions that were posted from others.

Lonzo S&T and Adams for Herro, who says no?

It is not always assumed that someone has to fill in the blanks to make a trade make sense.

Well, there is multiple routes that could be taken to make the salaries match. Pels may like Nunn, Duncan or Oladipo and want to do a S&T with one of them coming back and a pick going to Miami.

I'm not going to lay out every scenario required to salary match, but rather a base trade then you can fill in from there.

Agree, but that was not at all clear from your proposed trade and makes it a much different trade.

Apparently Lowe and Bontemps were speculating that OKC could be willing to deal SGA since they might be in for a longer rebuild and he doesn't fit the timeline.

Not sure I buy that, but if true I would trade a shitload to get him on this team.

Yeah, SGA plugs a lot of holes for the Pels.

herro was a hero 2020 playoffs.

you dont get herro and a mid to late first for #10 and filler.

you bet on 2020 herro coming back.

you are buying low.
10+ filler for herro.

Cannot see it. Since when does a soon to be 23 year old not "fit their timeline?" I would hope Griffin goes after him super aggressively if made available, but really do not see it.

I mentioned him the other day when spitballing teams that may be okay with trading away a player of value without receiving a "good" player in return. They are one of the few teams that will still be a "seller" this offseason. I think they are a really good target to go after.

I would give up quite the haul for SGA.

I have been banging the drum for SGA for awhile. Where does it start? Lewis, Hayes and 5 1sts + some 2nds? Maybe they can take Bledsoe too.. Does that get it done?
