Especially having guys like Ingram and Zion.

This pick is going to help them out tremendously. We needed a spacer/consistent outside shooter and we got one.

I can’t tell how many times they threw it out to the perimeter just for our wide open guy to miss.

Also love that this was the right type of player for the team and they didn’t just take him at 10. They moved Adam’s and Bledsoe to get down and STILL got the right fit player.

Moves aren’t made in a vacuum.

I’d rather this pick at 17 than kispert at 10

Great catch and shoot guy, but he's not a 6'9 JJ. Atleast, not yet. JJ was a movement shooter, Trey is strictly a catch and shoot guy right now. Which is fine, he will get alot of open catch and shoot looks with Zion here.

I like this pick. Would have preferred Kispert but this kid was just as good from 3. I like that they took a kid who seems to be able to play right away as a catch and shoot bench player rather than maybe drafting a guy with a higher ceiling but might need a couple years to be ready.

I mean literally ten times a game. Reddick falling off a cliff KILLED that team.

That and having Bledsoe and Adams mot have to be guarded at all.

Zion was driving on three guys and beating triple teams.

Sorry I tried to participate & learn. But I admitted my limited knowledge in the initial post.

If y’all gonna just shite on people who try to join the fan base, good luck growing the team.

I’m talking about spacing. this guy isn’t going to run around picks and exhaust his man. I’m just trying to explain how even having him out there is going to open up the court.

You use him like Johnson. Corner 3s running baseline to baseline.

So your question about whether he was Ben Simmons lite was based on nothing, you just puled Ben Simmons' name out of the air?

Saints Fan,

I read a brief synopsis on him & took away from it that he was a 6’10 guard who was great on defense but who was limited on the offensive side of the ball.

Does that not sound like sound Ben Simmons? Again not being passive aggressive but asking to learn.

Yep. I don’t know if Trey Murphy would even handle the ball that much with Ingram and Zion. The guy just need to pick his poisition and shoot. He doesn’t need to create for himself.

When a guy coming out from Virginia or Villanova is drafted, you can’t go wrong.

I actually made a few with the anticipation that Crewz would make his prodigal son-esque return to call us all idiots. I thought for sure he’d be back any day now…and that was at least a year ago

And we don’t want anyone ( Sexton) taking the ball out of their hands. This is the perfect pick for the spot.

Agree 100%. I'm excited to have an elite shooter with his size.

Also cool he's a junior coming out of Virginia and we took him at 17, just like NAW.

Alright bro. I don't know how you saw a synopsis that probably had his stats and got Ben Simmons but it is what it is. His offensive skill is the 100% opposite of Ben Simmons.

Buddy— when you’re comparing a 50 40 90 player which means he is an ELITE shooter to ben simmons who has hit less 3s in the NBA than Lester Earl (and I mean the tigerdroppings poster not the former player), you’re drawing the wrong conclusion and deserve some razzing.

Great point. It’s this kind of cosmic synchronicity that we need to get the NBA gods smiling upon us again

He is limited offensively but in the exact opposite way as Ben. Everything Ben is elite at on offensive Trey isn’t good at. Everything Ben is terrible at on offense Trey is elite.

Trey is a one trick pony offensively. Very limited. But it’s a goddamn good one trick.

You know what I don’t know either. I’ll come more correct next time.
