How was it on here(TD) in 2010 when this was going down?

It was before my time because I didn't discover TD until Oct/Nov 2010.

That thread has some of literally the WORST posters on the site in it. It's pretty awful. It was fun at first but now it's turned into a who can cover their arse more and make the most excuses.

Basically, it's a dick measuring contest.

Monday I would assume from what I've read on here. Believe that is when Ely's contract becomes tradeable.

we don't have the cap room. so unless Benson is willing to go into the luxury tax, I think we can afford him right now only if he pays us.

Oh, I thought the Pels had the MLE available after the Asik deal. My bad.

Since Salmons signed his last big contract several years back, he's been pretty bad. I would hope there are better cheap veterans to go after.

We should, it all depends on how the do the trade.

It's not a luxury tax issue. We couldn't get to the tax without giving Aminu/Smiht/Roberts absurd contracts. The issue is that you can either use cap space (which as of now it looks like we may have to do with Asik) or you can use exceptions. If we manage to get Asik with a trade that sends out ~$5.5m in contracts, we will have use of the MLE.
