Withey has been working out with Ajinca.

I'm not sure how recently Withey meant they had been working out, but Babbit gone, Ajinca not? We need to get to $5.5 million in a trade for Asik. Ely + Babbit = $2.1, Rivers = $2.4 Trade = S&T Smith/Aminu/Roberts + Ely + Babbit?

I like how the most exciting news we have during this FA period is who is working out with who.

This has been brutal

Probably juste means that Ajinca was working out in NOLA (Davis said so too).

The biggest news we're going to get, trading for Asik, has already broken. We opened our good Christmas present early and now are upset that we don't have anything left to open on Christmas day except for the socks.

But but what about the snag in the trade

I know but my damn Pelicans 2K roster needs a pair of socks in order to be a functional team.

Maybe you can go change AD's height while you wait.

Withey thinks AD may have grown a little.

It's more like opening a XMas present and then your Mom going, hold on, you might not actually get that present, we have to wait 3 weeks to be sure

Are we sure they weren't discussing a slight sexual arousal due to the excitement of playing with a bulkier Withey?

Nah. I'm actually not a fan of AD growing. We are one Sam Bowie injury away from being the black-hole team of the league. *Knock on Wood*

McNamara says the deal is already in place, just waiting on Ely's contract to be tradeable.

@BryanTNR He already has a deal in place. Will be submitted July 13th. Just hold tight.

@360_dgreez @BryanTNR Don't know all the details. Just know it will go down once Ely can be moved per league rules. And that its agreed to.

What type of deal you thinking regarding Ely's contract ATL??

Ely and Babbit have unguaranteed contracts, so they'd be about $2.4 million worth of player going out for us and $0 worth of player coming in for the team we trade to. The question is what do we package with them. We need to get up to $5.583 million in contracts going out to create a 3way trade for Asik meaning we need $3.3 million more. Rivers + Ajinca is $3.4 million. Alternatively you can insert a Sign and Trade of Smith/Aminu/Roberts for Rivers and/or Ajinca. If we have to send out Rivers and Ajinca I'm hoping we get a Top 10 protected pick back.

I really hope we don't trade Rivers. That would essentially amount to trading our first round pick 4 years in a row for jrue and asik. Thats just 2 nba starters, in all honesty. I know asik is a good fit for our team, and I also realize that some folks think NBA first round picks outside of 1-3 are garbage and not worth anything, but I just feel this team is not building any momentum outside of AD.

Others have said it, but this team seems a bit forced, and if we have to give up rivers and a first rounder for asik, who the Rockets basically don't want, I just don't think we are in trouble.

Not to mention I think Rivers breaks out this year as a solid contributer, and passes Gordon in the rotation. frick Eric Gordon.

not to mention, that would mean the only thing left from the CP3 trade is a player/contract we all want desperately to get rid of (EG)

There's a chance that none of the four picks are starters. There's an even bigger chance that they will never be as good as Asik and Holiday.
