So this summer will be nuts.

But, I wouldn't read too too much into Noah/Mozgov deals. The crazy Knicks and desperate Lakers handed out the deals. 2 teams w/ little interest from guys of consequence that have to make headlines given market and familial pressures.

Honestly, the $$$ in the Noah deal isn't awful, the years tho...

2 Things to remember re: Asik- he still needs not to look like a corpse and the Pels still have a big problem whether he stays or goes.

Indeed.

Summer league invite doesn't mean much to me. But Bourousis is 32. If a team is thinking about tossing him $6-8M to come over, it is a brave new world

I'm curious what the Knicks are offering Gordon.

Thanks for the numbers, I was looking for that earlier and only saw it was 3 years.

The Kangs will probably offer Lin 15 mil or something.

To recap the #Pelicans targets: Batum re-signed, Parsons offered max & got superstar treatment, Bazemore offered $20MM & superstar treatment

I'm perfectly fine they didn't work out for the Pelicans

This just tells me that there is no fricking way that Harrison Barnes takes less than the max. Has he even been rumored to meet with any teams?

I like Gerald Henderson as well

He's not the best 3 point guy in the world but he's a solid defender that's smart and can be a versatile piece whether starting or on the bench

According to Nate Duncan, the Knicks only have $14.4M in cap space left.

Re: Ish/Lin-

$6M for your backup pg in a $94M cap is bad? That's roughly $4.5M in a $70M cap. And the cap will jump to $108 next year, which is $3.85M in a $70M cap. We need to re-adjust the way we think about these numbers.

Lin is a quasi starter who can shoot 3s and create off the bounce. He's getting at least double what Ish got. I'd be surprised if he comes in under $15M annually

Yeah, at this point I'm ready to wait for the bargain bin and see what Euro values we can find. $6 million for Lance Thomas? Other than shooting 40% from 3 this season, how is he different than Cunningham?

Thanks, I'm only a few minutes into his new pod.

Duncan keeps saying that an average starter will make 15 mil, there aren't that many openings at PG, though. I'm guessing Mavs or Kings go after Lin.

Thank you Knicks for always making me feel good about what the Pels do.

So I do think he's a little more versatile defensively. He's more 4 than 3, but he has enough shooting to not kill spacing at the 3.

But why would the Pels NOT want a guy who can offer that at that price? Why would bargain be a better move? For that little money, you get to add a competent NBA player to this largely barren roster? Yes, please

Cuban strikes out yet again on a center

Dallas is fricked IMHO

Yeah. That $15M comes out to $11.2 in $70M cap.

Lin is a good player. I hope he doesn't go to Sacramento. Dallas w/ Carlisle and running PnR w/ Dirk or Houston to reunite w/ D'Antoni would be interesting for him (probably bad for the Pels)

ETA- welp, saw Lobos above...wonder if Cubes decides to tank this season.

Are we sure his price is 6 mil, though?
