Very surprising Demps isn't being aggressive and trying to sign shooters. We literally don't have a consistent 3 point shooter on this team, not 1. I just don't understand Dells mentality right now.

We probably are on vacation not doing shite

There are still A LOT of players available. This offseason has not been a frenzy. Teams have been very cautious.

Fake Dell Demps twitter is MIA. Bring it back

It really makes me wonder wtf we are actually doing.
The biggest moves we can make are via trade, not FA. Maybe we're waiting for other teams to tell us yes or no. Phoenix went from meeting with Blake and Millsap to rebuilding only a few days ago. They may want to see if they can get a bidding war going for Bledsoe, or maybe they just want to make Demps sweat to see if he'll throw in another asset.
We're close enough to the tax that an uneven trade could make other moves not viable, so until the trade gets squared away they may not be ready to lock down the Young/Miles level deals.

Free agent guard Nick Young has agreed to a one-year, $5.2M deal with the Golden State Warriors, agent Mark Bartelstein tells ESPN.

Nick Young to Warriors - 1yr/$5.2m - that's the bulk of their MLE

I really do wonder if we're the mystery team trying to acquire CJ Miles

We don't actually have to do a S&T with Miles, we have the MLE, but if the Pels were one of the teams looking into that, it might have been the path to getting both Young/Miles like you had talked about.

well...frick.
He would have been a big help to us, shooting wise.

Oh God Damnit. The NBA sucks now
Posted on 7/5/17 at 1:02 pm to TigerinATL
Right. I am willing to bet the Pels felt good about Swaggy and were trying to get more shooting with Miles.
Now, we go after him with the MLE.
They were talking on NBA radio at how untradeable both Ajinca and Asik are. Guess the proof is in the pudding there.

I think he's trying to be aggressive with trades right now, he doesn't know what he needs to use the MLE on, until he can sort out what he can get in the trade market.

He better push hard for Lin or Bledsoe now so he can use the MLE and BAE to fill out roster.
I also wonder if Troy Daniels is in play with a TPE. Good shooter. Better than nothing.

There are definitely still some chips to fall in the Hayward to Boston move.
I'm leaning more to Lin as a possibility. His probably cost, versus the production (and smaller risk) have me leaning that way over Bledsoe. Bledsoe does have the higher ceiling, though.

Is Tim Hardaway still available?

Interesting point from Jake
That only matters if you go into the tax. I can't imagine the plan is to go into the tax this year though. Even if Asik was untradeable, why wouldn't they just stretch him rather than go into the tax this year?

If Pels spend over the tax payer MLE amount (5.192 million) the Pels risk getting hardcapped. Not spending right now keeps flexibility.
