I am not sure he fits in our TPE though (may be just short).
It's only like $15k short so it should be ok, you get an extrak $100k in wiggle room.

As with simultaneous trades, teams are allowed to acquire an extra $100,000 -- so a $1 million credit can be used to acquire $1.1 million in salaries. This credit is often referred to as a Traded Player exception or a trade exception

Anyone think that Monte Ellis might be available? He just got a drug suspension for 5 games and the Pacers are rebuilding. 2 years at about 11M per left on his deal. He had a down year, but is 31. Might have another good year left in him..
He's pretty awful. I'm sure they'd probably give him away for nothing.

I don't watch Denver games much, but reading their fans it seems Barton is an afterthought for Denver because his game doesn't match the system. Good ball handler and can create offense, but lower IQ ISO scorer with mediocre defense.
ETA- Low risk with only $3M in slaary this year and supposed 2nd round price, but just curious about long term fit.

That's pretty awesome, I wasn't aware of that.

Literally one of the worst players in all of basketball, and probably THE worst contract. Duke fan eh?
Well, he played at Kentucky so there's that.
But I just know he'd be an upgrade over Quin Cook. I think he scored 40 on us last season.

So you want the guy that's making $14 per year for 3 years because he's better than the guy on a minimum contract. You also say you think he scored 40 on us last season. I just looked at his game log and in 4 games vs. the Pels he scored 10, 7, 12, and 11. LINK While that technically does add up to 40, you seemed to be implying he scored 40 in a single game.

Would this trade work??
Eric Bledsoe and Tyson Chandler
for
Ajinca, Asik, Q-pon, Moore and 2018 first
*saw some on PR mention it*

You need to throw in another 1st at least. Turning Chandler into Asik isn't doing them any favors.

Ya I would throw in another 1st lottery protected pick for their 2nd round pick pretty easily. That's just a 20 something pick for a 30 something pick.

lol, I'm sorry. I wasn't implying Brandon played for Duke.
Just to be crystal on this stance. Out of 468 qualifying NBA players, Brandon Knight finished 464 in real plus minus last season. When I say he was literally one of the worst basketball players in the league, I mean LITERALLY.
And he is owed about $45 million over the next 3 seasons. On no planet are the Pels, or any other team touching that contract.

Ok, so I was off a season and by 10pts (which is why I said I think). But the guy is 25 and $14mil isn't much mony in this NBA economy. He avg 19 pts a yr ago on 45% shooting from 2 and 35% from the 3

He's been awful with the Pacers. But he was awesome with the Mavs a couple of seasons ago. If the Pacers give him away, he'd fill a big hole for us. Could we trade more Moore and Ajinca for him?
Posted on 7/3/17 at 2:43 pm to The_Duke
He's garbage. He got 20 minutes per game on a trash Suns team last season. He's definitely a negative asset.

At this point, Moore is a better player than Monta.

Well, I didn't know all that. But he Avg 19 pts a game the year before, not sure what the fall of this year was about. But I was advocating to go all out and get the guy, just would be a nice off piece if everything else falls through. 14mill per isn't that bad in this NBA, plus he's only 25.
Posted on 7/3/17 at 2:52 pm to The_Duke
I wish people would stop flaunting Moore as trade bait for big names who are worse just to unload ajinca.
Unloading asik, sure. But Moore is a MLE Level contract that id say is hard to find that level of production.

I don't know, Ellis can play PG and he is a better scorer. Moore is probably a better shooter and defender. Ellis is more expensive, but less years left on the contract. If we could shed Ajinca in the deal, that might be attractive. In the right situation, I think Ellis could have one more great year. Big gamble I guess. But he's kind of local and might feel like he has something to prove..
