The Los Angeles Lakers have reached out to the San Antonio Spurs to express interest in All-Star Kawhi Leonard, league sources tell Yahoo. No proposals have been discussed.
Will be interesting to see if a deal gets done tonight or if the Spurs slow play it.

DC is one of the teams the pels could potentially swing a deal with, boogie and non-boogie related
How about:
Boogie+Moore+Miller+2nd for Beal+Oubre+Mahinmi
Why does Washington do it?
It gives them a legitimate all-star caliber center who can score, rebound, pass, and defend (sometimes). He's the big man they have been missing, the concern is his recovery which with Wall and Porter he can take his time. Oh, lets him also play with former Kentucky teammate John Wall.
It gives them a cheap and adequate SG that can make open shots and play decent defense in Moore.
It gives them a legitimate shooting wing who can space the floor for Wall and Cousins in Miller.
It allows them to keep their starting wing, Porter, who will grow into a larger role without Beal and as Cousins continues to recover.
It allows them to get rid of a pretty bad contract in Mahinmi and keeps Gortat an expiring for the trade deadline.
It gives them an additional 2nd that they can flip around if needed.
Why do the Pelicans do it?
Minimizes the risk of giving the $$$$ to DeMarcus Cousins.
It gives you one of the better shooting guard/combo guards in the league on a pretty sizable contract and allows a legitimate secondary ball handler on the court (Holiday or Beal) at all times.
It gives you a young cheap wing prospect to continue to develop and become more consistent in Oubre. He needs work, but we have some damn good assistant coaches. It also doesn't hurt that he'll become a quick fan favorite as he grew up here.
It gives us an overpaid, but playable center for 15-20minutes a game in Mahinmi. It will allow Diallo to continue to develop, but doesn't force AD to play the 5 all game and only when he needs to with Niko.

I love having Niko but it has really gotten tiresome never having any draft picks or young talent.
NBA draft is so much fun to watch...I wish my team would participate in it.

Both Shams and Spears now reporting the Kings will take Bagley at #2.

Supposedly, he's one of the only players that actually wants to go to Sacramento

Just floors me that they're passing on Doncic. Total Kings move.

Atlanta and Dallas have agreed to a deal, league sources tell ESPN. They'll trade Nos. 3 and 5 picks, sending Luka Doncic to Dallas and Trae Young to Atlanta, sources said. Dallas will send Atlanta a future first.

Doncic in the Pelicans' division AND the Mavs still need a center. Worst case scenario.
Posted on 6/21/18 at 6:49 pm to jprdbulldog20

Doncic in our division and possibly boogie with a massive grudge

I wonder if the Dallas GM won Cuban over by pitching his "8th Seed Forever" business on Shark Tank.

Stick to your guns, Dell. 2/1. Let Cubes save you from yourself.

Dell needs to work some magic and trade up to get Mitchell Robinson or Grayson Allen.
Posted on 6/21/18 at 8:47 pm to CapperVin
Grayson Allen would be so fun to watch on this team
