the more I think about a minny deal, the more I come around to it
turn a player that gets no minutes to a cheap extremely productive 3&D player that only makes $10 mil/yr. that gives you enough space to go after a Brogdon or Dedmon in FA
& hoping Hayes is there at #11
Brogdon/Lonzo/FJ
Jrue/Hart/Moore
Covington/BI/Kenny Hustle
Zion/BI/Wood
Dedmon/Okafor/Hayes
that would be NOICE

Ingram is not coming off the bench in any scenario

Kind of funny. The more I think about it the less I like it.

I mean I've had enough time to convince myself of it then talk myself out of it then convince myself of it again
one thing I'm sure of, I want to trade #4, there's been too much smoke created for that pick and the price for it is way higher than it should be

If they can trade #4 for Turner that would be great and the best possible outcome IMO.. If not I'd rather stay put and take Garland/Hunter then try and sign valancius,Robin Lopez or vucevic

I concur.

What do you guys think of sekou?

We don't need to dump Solo. That just weakens what we get back

You bros remember when Pellies had a small chance at AD and Lillard in the same draft? The chance at Zion and Garland is a lock for them now and you peli-sons and peli-daughters want to trade down to scrubbo territory. Will be a mistake!

Because if we can get a player with just a pick (and not sending out cap space), our trade partner will definitely prefer that over Solo + the pick. Like, maybe #4 outright can land you Turner (probably not, though), but including Solo, we may have to include an additional pick.

spurs are dangling their 1st round picks for veteran help. I think solo fits the bill.

Solo and 4 for Covington Saric and 11?
Wouldn’t mind that at all. I still like Garland’s scoring ability which we need, but two legit pros and a pick (gamble) vs a pick (gamble) is a good haul.

Boom or bust player that will take at least 2 years to know if he has a chance at being a good player in the league.
Posted on 6/20/19 at 11:55 am to Fun Bunch
Giannis type of boom or Oden kind of bust?
Posted on 6/20/19 at 11:57 am to WITCH DOCTOR
I don’t find it fair to keep picking on Oden as a bust considering his body gave out on him. The ability was there.
I’m far more likely to make fun of the guys who couldn’t put it together or outright pissed away their talent, like Thabeet, Darko, Michael Beasley, etc.

Please tell me you are not comparing Darius Garland to Damian Lillard. I know we can get carried away around draft time and all.
Posted on 6/20/19 at 12:00 pm to Jon1798
Nah its a fair comparison of what his ceiling could look like, we can say that.

Any moles here that can see what's on the elite bored?

Yep. Even if Griff wants to look at #4 as an asset and wants to collect more using it, what does it look like in 3 years?
Say Garland develops like we think, and in 3 seasons he's a 20+ points per night guy as a starter or the marquee 6th man putting up Jamal Crawford type numbers. What's his value?
Now in 3 years, what is Robert Covington's value? A guy like Nassir Little? They don't even touch Garland.
So discouraging.
