Still not an excuse. The NBA makes rookies take classes specifically to prevent this. Also compounded by the fact that he is a tall good looking millionaire who should have absolutely no problem getting the woman of his dreams.

also obviously I’m not condoning it but this poor wilted flower posted the pic on social media and bragged about it. Pretty clear she was a willing and likely enthusiastic participant

Giddey is already no commenting, judging by his poor judgement that created this situation, that suggests there are professionals involved at this point. The girl and/or her parents are about to get paid to tell the police that the only thing that happened was taking a picture, which probably isn't illegal, although I guess the age and content of the picture could potentially make even that iffy.
