If Danny Green turns down multi year offers to other teams just to sign a vet minimum with the Lakers and Kawhi I’m going to be pissed.
Someone posted a quote from him a few days ago, he pretty openly said he knows this will probably be his last bite at the apple so he's looking for as big and long of a contract as he can get.

So could he go with Kawhi to the Clips.....what's your take on that comment?
Posted on 7/1/19 at 6:48 am to TigerinATL
Yeah I read him waiting as more of a “Whenever Kawhi signs someone is going to be scrambling and I’ll get paid”
Just the thought of him doing that is irritating

I think Green is an option for the Lakers if they miss on Kawhi. Don't think he's going there for the min.

Why?
They will have 4 guys and nothing else
The rest of their roster will have to be filled with JR Smith and Melo type players
They are idiots to try to throw their entire cap at 1 guy, they will be hamstrung for years with no way to add around those guys

If we're talking about the quote I'm referring to, I didn't think it had anything to do with Kawhi and it didn't sound like he particularly cared about winning. He's a 2nd round pick that almost never made it in the NBA and he has more championship wins and experience than a player of his stature should have any reason to expect. There's no shame in him trying to cash out and get paid instead of being some basketball purist and wanting to chase more rings at the expense of setting up his post basketball life. That's where I think he's at, cashing out, not chasing Kawhi.

Chicago has reached agreement on a sign-and-trade with Washington for guard Tomas Satoransky, league sources tell ESPN. Bulls are signing Satoransky to a three-year deal, league sources tell ESPN.
Satroransky started 54 games for the Wizards a year ago, and Bulls have been in marketplace for a starting PG. Satoransky will get that opportunity in Chicago on a three-year deal, per sources.

They will wait on Kwahi’s decision and if he takes a while and spurns them...
they could be calling Yao Ming, Carmelo and JR to make that magical run...

Boogie is the answer I’m hoping to hear.

Rondo and Boogie for sure. Hollywood loves their sequels, #DoItBig2

They're going to be running back Rondo and signing Noel/Boogie and journeyman to compete with.
But I am not saying anything until Kawhi signs elsewhere.
So much of how the league will shape up competitively in the next several years rides on this choice and it really sucks.
Not to rant, but man, the league is finally at a place of true competitive balance and reasonable upward mobility and I just really hope Kawhi doesn't frick that up for the league by piggybacking on the Lakers and Lebron.

Even though Kawhi staying in the East is best for Pels. Kawhi staying with Toronto or going to Clippers would be outstanding for general competitive balance.
There would be several teams with legitimate shots at a title.
