At the very least even if he goes to Toronto and then he explores his options again next year, that clippers FO will find them another star to join Kawhii. They have the assets to make it happen.
So if he doesn’t go to the Lakers this week and if everything is true, it’s very unlikely he’ll join them at all

Yep. Pretty much if he chooses Raptors even on a 1+1, he leaves the door open to join the Clippers next season, but not the Lakers because of AD’s cap hold.

Picks, SGA, Shamet, vets, expiring contracts. Especially if SGA and Shamet continue to improve they could get a disgruntled star with those kinds of assets.

That makes me think that all stuff supposedly from the New Balance meeting was made up. Like, if Kawhi cared about more merchandise sales, he'd get someone to run his Twitter account and promote his stuff.

I am so ready to just know, but I keep reminding myself that every day this stretches out is another day that Lakers lose out on potential FAs. The news that he might push back another day is begrudgingly good for us. Tiny victories, but victories nonetheless
