Money. That deal with a Ball salary dump gets them below the 2nd apron

Garland is always hurt and kinda soft but he dos fill a huge shooting void

Pelicans expressed interest in Harden? What in the hell? Dumars may be even more incompetent than anyone gives him credit for. That makes absolutely NO sense.

I honestly have no idea what Dumars is looking to build with this roster. It’s like a broken core of (Trey and Herb lead by Zion of all people) in the way of the young promising core of (Fears, Queen, and what should have been a 2026 1st round pick).

He's not, he's probably not even in the Airline office half the year.

i don't understand it either.
And I would have loved to hear and see Harden's reaction when his agent tells him the Pelicans are interested in you.

Jazz have been holding onto that war chest for a few years. Not surprised they finally went in on someone, but I'm not sure JJJ is the guy I would have picked.

George
Bailey
Lauri
JJJ
Kessler
Is a fun lineup with shooting and length. Kessler in there helps with the rebound deficiencies

That's a huge team. I'm wondering if they are going to make another trade.

I actually like that lineup to be honest. They are going to be hard to defend like you said with the length and shooting.

This is from back in December. My guess is we are not trading him. Nobody has yet to make an offer

Is this serious?
Do you think they are going to play Lauri and JJJ at the 3 and 4?
That isn't happening, and anyone that thinks that lineup would work is a doofus, Jazz staff included. The Jazz are already the worst team defending the 3 point shot in the league, just slightly worse than us. A lineup of 3 guys who can't defend the perimeter at all would all but insure you're last in that category for the foreseeable future, and you aren't winning shite if you are the worst 3 point defending team in the league.
The Jazz are considerably better defensively with Kessler than without him though, but there's no way that works with JJJ and Lauri playing with Kessler.
I would not be surprised at all if Kessler is traded before the deadline. He's going to be a RFA and the Jazz aren't goign to want to give him 4/$125M b/c they are goign to have to give Keyonte George a very nice extension this summer, something they probably didn't expect they would need to do when this season started.
It would be beyond stupid to have $125M/yr on 3 guys who play the 4 and 5. That's not how you win in this league.

quote:lauri played the 3 in Cleveland. To me that’s the only way this team does well. If they don’t then the trade doesn’t make sense. Neither JJJ nor Lauri are good rebounders.
Do you think they are going to play Lauri and JJJ at the 3 and 4?

I would have hoped that they finally move on from Zion but I doubt that the Pels will do the right thing.
