That Jose lost the matchup in the playoffs as stated above?

Is your groundbreaking point that Jose is not a viable backup PG because he can have a bad matchup

No my point is that people keep saying "we can improve" and y'all have some dumbass rebuttal every time like

"Well he's only a league minimum player"

No fricking shite, that's the point lol.

Y'all try to create some argument my stating the obvious point that he's replaceable.

Its ironic that y'all don't understand the simple point that y'all continue to state in your defense of him.
I really do not think you understand anything outside of you own fricking mind. You bitch and disagree vehemently with anyone and everyone who does not agree with all the bullshite you spew. This site so badly needs an ignore button.

Do you understand what LEAGUE MINIMUM and limited role player towards the end of the bench means?

Yes. But somehow when people say:

"We can IMPROVE FROM LEAGUE MINIMUM"

There's a bunch of arguments either stating that he is him or that "improving isn't necessary".

None of y'all points or defense fricking matter! You said it yourself "He's a league minimum". So he can be replaced with someone better.

Y'all are the ones that drag money arguments into it because y'all are fricking stupid. The point doesn't change that he's replaceable lol.

My comment has always been I like Jose but we can improve.

The defense is either "no we cant" or "Jose is a minimum guy"

What the frick does that have to do with stating that we can improve backup PG.

I don't want to get into several pages arguments just because y'all are fricking simple minded.

His contributions and overall worth to this team at his price point is irreplaceable for a team that has no financial margin currently. I'm not sure why this continues to come up and be discussed throughout this thread. This will very much be worth discussing next year as his contract expires, not now.

That's not the argument at all. That's just how you percieve it for your own silly reasons.

Improving that position isn't necessary at this moment, and doesn't really improve our team by doing so, at this moment.

Of course he's replaceable. Everyone on the fricking team is replaceable. Let's just ignore the money aspect, b/c that's not fricking stupid.

AGAIN, there is a salary cap to contend with. Get out of NBA2K and into reality. How many league minimum guys can we easily go out and replace Jose with that bring more value? Name them all please. Look at our salary structure and tell me that the absolute cheapest player currently signed does not add value given his role and price.

Its funny because this was my exact sarcastic post and then the whole next page is

"Jose is a league minimum guy"

While arguing against my point...

Y'all are fricking stupid.

He's on the last year of his contract! You have no clue what he makes next year or if we can afford him! Again, simple minded.

And that still has nothing to do with the point of "we can improve backup PG". That's not a stab at Jose and its not saying we are replacing him with a guy making 30mil. Its just a simple.comment that y'all then make the dumbest fricking arguments against.

I think Jose should be cheap but why are we so sure he’s league minimum? If he continue’s his upward trajectory, especially outside shooting which has improved every year, he’s most definitely not a league minimum guy.

I mean I’m not saying this matters in any highly signficant way, but he was 6th in votes for 6th man of the year last year. Only had 3 points out of all the votes, but league min players aren’t doing that lol

Just shut the frick up about Jose and your want for an upgraded backup PG.

It's simply not important at all right now, or even feasible finacially.

Why do'nt we upgrade CJ to Devin Booker instead? That would be a significant upgrade.
And while we're at it, let's trade Zion for Giannis or Jokic and get that upgrade too.

Buddy, its very clear that I'm capable of having conversations with people if they are willing to not be one sided or so stuck on a stupid arse point that they miss the overall post.

EpicCajun is a great example of someone who has had a difference of opinion but argues it back in a logical understanding way without being a whiny little bitch.

Some others should try it cough cough Yaz/ Teddy/ etcc

Just to try and swing these conversations back to things that matter. I still believe a possibly realistic deal exists doing:

Jordan Hawkins and a first round pick for Kessler.

I really do like Hawkins, and if he went for 30+ Friday, I wouldn't be shocked. But this move gets us a legitimate starting center that is 22 years old and about as cheap as possible. In two years when we are negotiating Walker's next deal in RFA, hopefully Missi is now ready to contribute as well. That would be past CJ's deal. This move would also shave off $1.5 million from our books this year and maybe help us negotiate under the tax.

I feel something went wrong in Utah for Kessler to come off the bench last season and be in trade talks this offseason. They would have an extra year of control on Hawkins and of course an extra first.

PG- Murray/ Jose
SG- Herb/ CJ/ Reeves
SF- BI/ Murphy
PF- Zion/ Murphy
C- Kessler/Theis/Missi

Our offer would be equivalent to two first round picks and I just can't see anyone offering MORE than that.

If done as a non-simultaneous trade, it gets us an additional TPE of about $4.5m while sliding Kessler into Kira’s TPE which expires at the deadline.

Is it? How many pages did you continue to push Tyus Jones. I can only assume that is why you are so stuck on replacing Jose. Again, who can you replace Jose with in the structure of the salary cap that improves the PG position enough to improve our top 8 or so players who play the majority of the minutes?

Is Kessler worth the equivalent of 2 1sts though or are we just in desperation mode because we have been painted into a corner. He is an elite shot blocker. However, he is far from a complete center. He needs a lot of work on screen setting and cannot shoot FTs or 3s. So, he offers a lot of rim protection (which admittedly we need) and is a good rebounder. I guess I am on the fence as I see Hawkins as a potential replacement for CJ after the season.

I wasn't stuck pushing him lol. Y'all literally refused to understand the point I was making.

Ironically y'all STILL refuse to acknowledge the overall and very simple point that we can/ should eventually upgrade backup PG.

I'm not stuck on replacing Jose. I'm simply acknowledging that we can/ should upgrade from Jose because he's not an all-star and he's a minimum salary bench player with upside.

I don't expect/ want Jose to be our backup PG for the next 10 years because well im not that fricking dumb and I can see the bigger picture than fighting for my life over our #8-10 best player who IS INDEED easily replaceable.

Holy shite guys.

The actual statement is "how many pages did fans exaggerate Jose's need/ value on this team while refusing the even acknowledge the point that I made.
