he’s averaging more minutes, less points, less assists, more turnovers, less free throw attempts and percentage, won’t play 75% of the games this year again, wanted a significant salary increase, and didn’t seem like he wanted to be here.
wish him the best but it’s time to stop thinking about him

It's also time for Pels fans to stop being so triggered by the mere mention of Lonzo that they have to immediately rush to disparaging him because....well, I honestly don't know where this bizarre behavior and incessant need comes from?

I don't need to disparage him anymore. He's already proven me right that not signing him was the right choice, and that the only frick up was not trading him at the deadline when his value was the best it would be.

He is averaging less free throw attempts?
Is that even possible?

quote:It doesn't seem bizarre once you factor in how the media freaked out about how great Lonzo has been with the Bulls when you realize he's been better on defense and worse on offense. Ultimately, he's been about the same, maybe slightly better but the media had an absolute Lonzo Love fest the 1st month or 2 when the Bulls started out hot, and he was never at any time playing as well as they were making it seem.

Per 100 possessions ins rebounds are up but points/assists/steals/blocks are all down. His TS% is higher, so overall it's kinda the same Lonzo but seems to be better/giving more effort defensively this season.

it’s disparaging and bizarre to compare his current stats to last year’s?
i think it’s more bizarre that he’s getting his own threads on Pelicans boards. like i said, i wish him the best

In a thread about his knee injury? Yeah, i'd say immediately responding with stats of any kind is a bit weird, and to slant them negatively shows a bit of intent.
You do you, it's just weird how much people obsess over wanting to show him in a negative light

Typical with him. I said this last year. Lonzo is low key injury prone.
That being said, we still should have kept him vs accepting the package we did.
We’d have 6-7 more wins if Graham could be paired with another competent, complementary, albiet streaky guard.

No, what was weird was the media blasting the pels over not overpaying a marginal player.
Pels fans get shite on constantly, mostly because we've been cursed or the front office keeps fricking up, but goddammit we were right about lonzo.

I don't like him. His dad. His fans. Or his face. Deal with it.

Yea but didn’t someone post some stats that he was one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.
I’m not mad he’s gone, but Griff should have definitely got more for him.

I think it's time for Bronc to stop being so triggered when Lonzo's name comes up. You get WAY more triggered trying to defend Lonzo than anyone else does when trying to defend our decision to let him walk. Just let it go man, let it go.

This is the most honest response in here…leaning in with confidence the emotional core at the heart of most of the hate

It comes from the Zo obsessed two years ago, who wanted to call Zion fat, and say Bi sucks.
And then nut themselves over Ball’s 16 point game.
It made normal followers nuts - I wasted a lot of time explaining why he isnt that good, to be ignoring Zion/Bi to no avail. I said Ball was barely better than Etwuan Moore for the Pels and folks went nuts. Lol. Good times.

We’ve lost quite a few close games in which either Nickeil shot 4-20, Temple did absolutely nothing, Kira did absolutely nothing, Sato did absolutely nothing, and Graham was ice cold.
So yes, adding a starting level guard to a bunch of replacement level guards would have definitely netted up 5-7 additional wins over a span of over 40 games.

If you want an unbiased opinion, the 538 RAPTOR player evaluation says that Lonzo's play has added +3.2 wins above a replacement player so far this season.

You don’t think giving a 42% three point shooter on high volume, who is the second best wing defender in the league, would have helped tip the scales in several games this season?
Interesting. Wonder why so many are arguing to bring in Buddy or Fournier if they are objectively worse and aren’t gonna contribute to winning?
