Yeah man I don’t know what to tell you. Unless this team literally a game away from nba finals this year- they’re not paying tax next year. Thats a certainty.

If that happens, then this team should never be taken seriously with Gayle as owner.

I doubt we trade Kira to get under the tax if he was remotely useful.

When a team shows you who they are. BELIEVE THEM.

This is basically what a lot of local pels media and national media says- even the ones we cant stand like Mac. Honestly, I don’t think they’re wrong on that point.

If you truly believe that this team will never cross into the tax, why do you even bother following them?

This. It's important for the Pels to stay healthy and probably get past the 1st round. But they can't go into next season with a tax avoidance mentality.

I also agree on JV. If the Pels want to keep JV they will keep JV. They almost have to resign him just to have him as tradeable salary.

For me it’s loyalty and the hope they make a miracle run but yeah the tax thing is frustrating as hell.

Because I was born and raised in New Orleans, and I'll cheer and spend money on anything with that darn New Orleans on it.

Literally the only Texas team I cheer for is the Rangers, because literally New Orleans doesnt have a MLB team

Don't you know that they upgraded the practice facility from the Alario Center?

But why be loyal to something if they are that brazen in not being loyal to anything other than their own bank account?

If an owner won't do something that literally every other owner is willing to do, that person shouldn't be owning and the fans should make that known that they shouldn't be owning.

We are absolutely a tax team next season, because we should be contenders next season.

Really?

I never see anything on here about wanting Gayle to sell the team.

If you really believe we will never go into the tax, you should be holding up signs at the SKC telling Gayle to sell the team.

Griff does an amazing job selling snake oil. The FO really every 6 months has the fanbase believing they will cross over only to make a deal that ensures they stay under.

All for a 21 million dollar check to the owner (the non tax teams cut)

I mean its sports man. I get the same frustration but how I feel wont change the ownership or how they operate. Theres also a strong possibility if she sells, the new owner likely moves the team from nola.

Key word is should be. Like I said if we don’t make a DEEP playoff run this year- the regime wont consider this team contenders and wont go into the tax.

Griff kicked this can waayy too far.

We have to re-sign JV. You arent gonna get a better center for the MLE.

We have to make a move. One of the big 3 should be moved

Do you truly believe the reason we dropped Kira was because it kept us under the tax?

Meaning, you think if he was anything other than total dead weight, we still would've moved him?

I don't think that's the case. Trading him was just an easy business decision.

Well yeah, if you keep giving them your money, time and energy, it won't change. You're right.
