Confirming what has been said by others. He's talked a bunch about the trade today but nothing really specific. Said he's completely in the dark about what the Celtics are offering, has no idea.

I have not heard anything specific to him... but Chicago has been in this Davis stuff, both as a partner and a direct player... so LaVine checks boxes.

Lavine doesn't check squat.
I could see the Bulls as a conduit for Ball in return for their #7.

If the Bulls are involved, the most likely reason is turning Ball into other parts.

Somehow I doubt that LaVine is one of those parts.

Lavine is the worst guard to pair with Jrue

no. 4 in the 2003 Draft is good value for Beal. Not this year

please. why would we be ok with mccollum but not lavine?

LaVine/ Markkanen plus another asset... 1.7/future 1st/or another player. There's a ton to like about this trade.

Bulls would likely never trade Lauri

I seriously doubt Markkanen is a part of these talks.

You think?

I wouldn't say that. He's not the best pairing by any stretch, but he's a good shooter, and can create his own shot on offense. He's not good defensively, but pairing him with Jrue could make up for that a bit.

That being said, I doubt he's what the Pels are looking for.

I can believe CHI as a lonzo dump off point but not as a direct player

AD has zero interest in his hometown

I just don't get this. Ball is better than whomever you would get at #7. Granted, this is assuming the #7 pick would be headed to the Pels

AD has zero interest in anywhere but the Lakers, so using that as a reason to discount suitors is kind of dead.

Doesn’t mean he will want to re-sign with them but I think he will be pretty stuck next offseason unless some of the teams like the Nets and Clippers punt on their cap space this offseason.

They probably wouldn't give up Markkanaen but he's the type of veteran I'd like to see the Pels get - a young one who has a lot of tread left. These older players who have inflated scoring stats because someone on their team has to score - pass.

I tend to agree. As much as I question Ball's development thus far, I would think he has more value than #7 in this draft.

The 7 is better than Ball from our purposes both as a trade chit and as the opportunity to get a player who fits what we want, which Ball doesn’t.

Reddish could develop into an outstanding shooter on the outside paired w/ Zion/jrue/lavine etc.

The Chicago talk was supposedly dead in the water as a partner to facilitate a trade with Washington for Beal. My guess is that they were offering Lonzo for Chris Dunn and #7 this year.

They would in turn offer #4 and #7 to the Wizzards for Beal and maybe a swap for #9. If I was Washington I would tell them to shove it!
