Lowe: From what I've heard, Pels really didn't engage much on Trey trades

IMO Trey is a player you want your new coach to coach and develop and see what you got. We have talent. We just have to put it together.

There's 3 years left on his deal so there shouldn't be desperation to take any deal for him.

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that a full rebuild if it ever happens won’t happen for a bit, but I’m struggling to see evidence of a team running back the same roster and a new coach dramatically changed them.

They will do something. We won't run back the exact same roster. Now what that is I have no idea.

It FEELS like we don't trade Trey and maybe move around the margins a little more, but Hornets fans 24 hours ago probably weren't think Lamelo was being traded

This joke of a franchise is so scared to make a move.

We’re the punching bag for the league. Nothing more than a punchline.

Plus no one will pay a lot to get him because you have to absorb 3 years.

nba salary cap is retarded but trey's deal and his potential/production is about as good as it gets.

This only matters for negative contracts

For a player like Trey its a massive positive because it guarantees longer team control. They should in theory give up more now

Exactly. Treys deal is so good that the length increases its value because it’s further from having to pay his next much bigger deal.

Sounds like Joe and his retard side kick are playing a little PR to save face with Trey and Herb.

Lowe is saying he heard this from other teams, so that doesn't make sense

At a minimum, this team has to get a real NBA center on the roster. They are doomed before the season even starts if they don't get a center. The Pelicans have talent, but they are not good enough to offset a league worst rotation at an important position.

It's unfortunate we didn't take the route where we could absorb contracts.

We've now seen players like beef stew and claxton move as salary dumps

I honestly don’t know what’s the plan for the roster and how the players fit. I’m not sure anyone does. However, I’m glad we aren’t trading Trey.

True, but it makes him untradable right now. Which is a huge problem if the stories about him wanting out are true.

He's a fan with a twitter following. Not sure why anyone takes him seriously.
