When the trade happened pretty much everyone acknowledged that it was an overpay by a somewhat desperate team. Everything that happened since has kind of backed that up. So why would we expect another team to do the same thing? Does one trade set the market forever?

Nobody knows anything about the Pelicans front office because Dumars doesn't even know. He probably keeps giving them a "let me call you back"
