Did you miss the trades they made the last 2 days? They acquired multiple picks and prospects, one of which used to be part of the "great" package the Lakers were selling. They also have the unprotected Miami 2021 draft pick. The Lakers have to turn Lonzo into the Phoenix pick if they even want to get into the conversation with the other 3 teams.

I noticed you didn't answer my question.

I already know the answer.

Now if you look up the Lakers' record when Lebron is out of the lineup, you'd see why New Orleans has nothing to gain by trading with LAL.

Lakers will still be desperate, plusworse case scenario and Ainge plays hardball, we can tell the lakers if they don't play ball with their original offer, we will trade him to the Clip show to join Kawhi and let them continue being the #2 team in LA like they have been the past ten years....

Barkley just took a shot at lebron on the all star draft. Told Giannis he should trade everybody on his bench for anthony Davis was hilarious. Lebron was dying laughing

what happens in the summer when kyrie leaves

A deal will get done in principle in late May. So unless Kyrie says "I'm not resigning" before then, they won't know what Kyrie does. There has also been reports that Ainge doesn't care what Kyrie goes, he'll still pursue AD.

Brown + picks would be better than what the Lakers offered. Those picks are loads better. And the Lakers young guys all suck arse

But we’re getting Tatum so you’re wrong

Oh what assets/prospects do you speak of cuz I’d like to know. Was it Wilson chandler, Landry shamet, JayMichael green or Garrett temple cuz I missed the promising prospect of any of them. And Zubac was a throw in he wasn’t part of the key 4 the lakers were offering. So no the clips don’t have anything to really offer

I’m still confused as to what you think we could have had—-none of those players are good and even if we let AD walk and get absolutely nothing for him in return it would be much better than getting those bums from LA and then having to pay them arse loads of money because their rookie deals are expiring. If they were so good they wouldn’t be up for a trade

Everyone says this, but i'd really have to see what those picks were.

I'm not a Jaylen Brown fan. At best he's ok. Most nights he's a whole lotta nothing. I'd rather Ingram, Kuzma and Lonzo over Brown 100% of the time. Gotta put the Laker hate to the side here. Ingram is a much better prospect than Jaylen Brown.

Yes ainge says that now but if/when kyrie does leave that will ultimately change bcuz why would he then give up basically the centerpiece of the future in Tatum to rent AD who said he won’t resign.

all you have on here is a bunch of laker haters who can’t put their pride to the side and acknowledge the better deal. Brown is an ok player showed more promise last year but has seemed to regress this year so that plus picks won’t just get it done

Lonzo sucks and wouldn’t resign, Kuzma is an empty stats scorer. They’re a dime a dozen. He’s basically Marcus Thornton. Had we traded them Davis, the two first rounders are probably early 20’s and then late 20’s.

So the only real asset is Ingram.

Let’s say it’s not Tatum and it’s brown. They also have the Grizzlies pick which will almost definitely be top ten and is better than any other asset the lakers were offering. They have the Kings pick which will be mid teens. They have their own pick, which is basically equal to the lakers pick would’ve been.

So you have Ingram and some shite v Brown and 2 first round picks, likely one top half of the draft and the other anywhere from 1-10.

That’s worst case scenario from Boston. And I’ll take that over lakers offer for sure

What difference does it make?

If the Pels' goal is to finish 10th-12th in the West, they already have players capable of that.

Sure. But thats still not a reason to make the deal now.

As far as the Lakers would know, the Pelicans LOVE Jaylen Brown and can't wait to make that deal. Immediately the Lakers best offer is right back on the table.
