To anyone who sincerely believes the game is/was rigged. Who made will lutz miss the game tying FG or was he in on it too? Can’t have it both ways.

quote:. You mean the same culture that a lot of fans on this site have that just bcuz the players may not think like them they want to crucify them? Cheer for them like hell on Saturdays but god forbid the kids that don’t come from the same background or have the same experiences as you asks for you to actually give a damn about them and what they could be feeling or going through off the field. Then it becomes “ privileged kids” that don’t know what they’re talking about or the famous “shut up I don’t care I watch football to escape politics and the real world”. It’s funny that real world that some of you claim you come to escape some of those players never can escape once they’re off the field. But I’d guess you don’t care bcuz you want football and no “ politics” until you decide you want to inject your politics into it.
We now live in a culture of think like me or I will destroy you.
What meeting could you call to undo the fact that the media didn’t have to tell them the cop kneed on George Floyd for 8 minutes and 46 seconds? The players saw it.
Do you know how a pick swap work? Y’all basically guaranteed to get the better pick of the 2 that’s all. Not 3 additional picks

I doubt the lakers finish any higher if that deal had gone through. That roster would’ve been depleted after that and with bron and AD battling injuries I’d bet they would’ve finished around the same spot. And yes of course 4th pick over zubac but for all intents and purposes y’all could’ve had all 5 players plus the 1st and 4th pick this year plus lakers pick next year. That’s better than what y’all ended up getting. You may not want to admit it but it is

Remember me? Yeah I’m sure you guys do. The guy that was stupid and didn’t know anything when I said the pelicans should’ve taken the last lakers offer which included kuzma and zubac. And while zubac was no huge piece of the deal he is a young center with potential. Getting an additional 1st helps but not having kuzma in this deal has to sting.

Anyone have any latest info on the New Orleans location?

Why are you impressed cuz I’m not. Most if not all pel fans believe the pels stuck it to the lakers and lebron and Klutch Sports so they’re blinded by that instead of looking at the potential risk that most knowledgeable fans know is more of a reality than they would let on.
Take your pelicans shades off for a quick second. If you were Boston and kyrie leaves which is looking more likely. Would you then trade the future centerpiece of your organization in Tatum for a superstar that says he won’t resign with you the following year?
So you saying if AD wants to sign with the lakers for less money next summer he can’t do that?
I agree with most of what you said. Yes the timing of the trade request was deliberate to get the lakers first dibs on AD bcuz Boston couldn’t even enter in the process until the summer. Everyone knew before the season that the best potential deal the pels could get for AD would come from Boston and I 100% agree with that. AD throws more than a wrench in that he says he doesn’t want to go there and wouldn’t resign long term. Now on the flip side you’d have to be foolish to really believe Klutch sports is going rogue doing things on there own and not operating from what AD wants but doesn’t voice. So yes he could be just bluffing at not wanting to play in Boston but I doubt it. What reason would he have to bluff about it. He’s a free agent next summer anyway soregardless of any trade if he wants to go to LA then he can. If he wants to go to Boston he can so no reason to bluff he can do what he wants. Pels lost leverage keeping him. If Boston could’ve traded for AD yesterday I believe Tatum is more than likely in that package but they couldn’t and if kyrie leaves in the summer like I’ve said they won’t have a reason to put Tatum in any package just to gamble on AD who said he wouldn’t resign with them. Clips just don’t have anything other than SGA so what potential deal would you realistically take from them? NYK is the tricky one bcuz if they do get a top 3 pick or let’s say #1 and take Zion. While you view KD and kyrie not wanting to play with a rookie keep in mind that that’s a once in a generation rookie prospect and the fact that they could just sign AD the following summer if they had to with a cap relief trade. And also they have to get in the top 3 for the pels to really want it cuz let’s be honest there’s 3 key can’t miss prospects in this draft. So here we are basically it’s back to lakers and Celtics and one of the teams he said he wouldn’t sign long term so don’t you think it’s reasonable for ainge to tell Loomis or whoever that hey I just can’t give up that much without the assurance that we can resign him so take brown, smart and picks which would be very underwhelming at that point. So then you potential go back to lakers and try to get what they last offered and they withold one or more of the young core group they originally offered.
Didn’t say he had a lot of value or value at all for that matter just said factually it couldn’t be the same deal and I’d hope you watch enough basketball to know zubac is already better than Muscala and he’s not close to a peak or finished prospect yet.
Basically my point and that’s hinges on so many things as AD adamant about not staying, kyrie staying and Boston willingness to include the centerpiece Tatum. Kyrie leaving shakes all that up bcuz imo they no longer include Tatum at that point bcuz the risk of renting AD and having him there by himself with no other star will be too high so they wouldn’t risk it. Kyrie stays long term they 1 year is enough time to convince AD Boston is the right fit.

Lol yes he is absolutely injury prone and yes you could ultimately end up with Ja and DSJ combination but that’s also predicated on NY not getting #1 and wanting to take and keep Zion. I know it doesn’t matter but he just said how much he’d love to play with Kyrie and KD in NY. Also if suns get #1 they may go for Ja who is a big need for them over Zion leaving Zion for NY or whoever is next. So yes they could have both and eventually trade DSJ but it’s also a lot of luck needed for that to happen.

Oh I’m so sorry message board professor but could you please show me where what have I said that’s illiterate and please exclude the common things ppl do on here like run on sentences and lack of proper punctuation bcuz you do you know we are on here and not face to face having a conversation. Now if this were a college paper or job requirements then maybe it’d be different but it’s not so gtf.
My point isn’t even about KD cuz he can go to New York and don’t think for a min that him wanting to so call win by himself will make him ignorant to the fact that he ain’t beating GS or a few other teams without a really good roster with another star. So he ain’t going to NY alone and if they were to trade the pick and Knox and DSJ to the pels well then who will they be left with to compete cuz just him and AD won’t get it done. And again clippers don’t have anything other than some of tier picks and veteran mid tier players. Only 1 young promising player in Shai. So what would you get from them for AD?

Idk about every GM in the league but you wouldn’t get Knox, DSJ and Ja both PGs and while Knox does look promising let’s remember Ingram was also that promising matter of fact even more promising coming out of college. Ppl compared Ingram to KD and thought he would get there and he still may get close but doesn’t look that way. And while I get the lonzo hate a lot of bcuz his pops he’s was mentioned as potentially first team all defense before the injury and is a great passer and floor general and 3pt shooting and FT shooting should definitely be getting better with time.

Rumor from agents was that top guys refused to consider LA bcuz they didn’t wanna play with Kobe. With Magic and Pelinka who’s a former agent himself running things it seems to be looking up for them as well as the timing of this era of players wanting to link up and play together so they’ll have options this summer and I assume they’ll land one big fish. I agree they’re not as savvy as old man buss and time will tell
re: Loomis and demps just got played.

We both know that prior to this their struggles to get top free agents was due to Kobe being there.
Kyrie is most likely to go to NY than LA but either of which punctures the whole Boston deal. KD will go either the same but if your premise is his disdain for the media then LA is the better fit than NY. Boogie is also the other likely option there being that GS can’t resign him. Bottom line is I believe Boston deals falls apart if Kyrie leaves which is looking more and more likely than what it was at the beginning when he said he would resign this summer. So then what’s left is NY who has to get a top 3 pick and be willing to deal it. Mainly the #1 pick for Zion. And while yes Morant and RJ are really good they don’t appear to be close to the prospect that Zion is so why would you give up AD for that and Knox and a pick.
