Looks like tomorrow's game will be for who gets 8 and who gets 9. If we get 8 we have 2 chances to win 1 game. If we get 9 we have to win 2 games in a row. Small but significant difference. I'm guessing both us and the Timberwolves will give effort to get to 8th.

Don’t see how we can realistically get 6 if the Suns only play their starters for half the game.
We still need to win against Minny to make sure we get that last play in game at home instead if we lose to LA in the first, which the refs will ensure we do. We could use Jose

Can’t y’all just wait like a day for this thread? We play in a league where the #1 team lost a game that would have clinched the #1 seed to the worst team in the conference. There are still several possible alternate outcomes.
If we win and LAL, LAC and GSW all lose, we finish 5th.
If we win and 2 of those teams lose, we finish 6th.
If we win and only one of this teams lose, we finish 7th and host 7v8 at the blender.
Lastly, we could lose to Minnesota and finish 9th

I think if there is a three way tie between LAL, LAC, and NOLA then NOLA is 6th.
Since the Suns are unlikely to beat the Clippers the apels are most likely 8/9 depending on the game in Minnesota.
I do not worry about beating the Thunder, but I do worry about trying to win an away ame at the Lakers or Minnesota in the 9 spot.

I did not realize that. The amount of potential scenarios with 1 game left is wild. The league has done a really good job of increasing parity over the last 5 years or so

Yeah except the way the schedule works out all the teams in the weird scenarios are playing teams not trying. Except the Min-Nola game.

I don’t see the Suns being concerned with any specific team, but if the way they choose to play the Clippers would determine who they play in the first round.
