He looks like a decent big on a $12m contract but not exactly what we are looking for.

Seems like he'd bring some good rim protection, but hed clog lane on offense, which is the opposite of ideal for us

Capela takes up too much space under the rim. He’d just get in the way of Zion, Ingram. That’s why Turner is the big we would get if we were trading for one.

Yea.

For me Turner or Markkanen is picture perfect

Him or Lopez would seem to bring a much better shooting threat

His contract grows each season.

16.9M next season and continues to grow into 2022/2023 at 20M

Would prefer Hayes as a cheap rim runner than spend that much money on a limited role player

ETA: This is in reference to Capela

0% chance the Bulls trade him unless we offer them a lot

Don’t know how this would work financially, we’d have to extend Ingram next year, and Beal is UFA 2021. Jrue has player option of 27 in 2021 so I’m sure he’ll want his last big contract before then. And if we traded for turner he’d still be getting 18 then. And Lonzo would be at 14. That’s a ton of money to commit to players when Zion is going to need to get paid huge a year later

and we'd have to give something up to get him.
Similar players can be had in FA, likely for cheaper.

We could still get niko even if we traded for turner. We could afford him and he’d make a ton of sense. Would be a great fit.

Zo / (re-sign Payton) / Jackson
Jrue / Moore
Ingram / hustle
Zion / niko /
Turner/ jah

Would have woods rotating in the post and still have 18, 39, 57 to fill out roster. Hopefully get a sharp shooter with 18

Resign or re-sign

Why would we have Lonzo AND keep Elfrid? They have similar styles of play except Lonzo is much more explosive and probably better all around outside of shooting. I’d be very surprised if we kept Payton

No he wouldn't make a ton of sense. If you aren't going to play him with Zion and Turner, then he's a waste of money.

Good point, that’s honestly the least important part of the whole thing and was just a thought for a back up pg. Could easily draft someone at 39 or sign a better shooting pg in FA for cheap to add a scoring spark off the bench.

Niko would be our best 3 point shooter. He would space the floor no matter the lineup. And idk if you’ve noticed but we don’t really have any knock down 3 pt shooters other than Moore and occasionally jrue (who is naturally better at attacking)

I would prefer Dedmon who should be cheaper and actually shot a slightly higher percentage than Niko did last year.

Not sure if Dedmon would come. Niko would sure think about it because he apparently loved it down here.

Considering we sent him to the best team in the league last season it isn’t like he is going to hold a grudge. Wasn’t like we sent him to Phoenix.

Would love to have two older players in jrue and niko who both love the city mentoring these young bucks

I don’t think Capela is who we need. (Nor do I think he’s that good) just my
Opinion
