A lot was made about the dudes the Lakers brought in as being the difference. But ultimately, that was a very small % of the difference, and the true difference was Bron/AD health and simply removing Westbrook from the roster.

D-Lo - awful in the postseason
Beasley - Not even in the rotation
Vando - Didn't do much in the playoffs and ultimately was played out of the rotation
Rui - He did go off in the postseason

D-Lo saved the Lakers in Game 4 against Memphis and had huge games in the first 2 rounds. Without D Lo, they probably lose to Memphis. Bringing him back on a 2 year / $40-$45 million deal is great value. He was a good regular season player and that contract is movable at the deadline.

Vando was good against Memphis and critical in the Lakers G1 victory against GS. Working on the corner three is the next step for his development.

Rui was a revelation.

Bottom line is that sometimes guys fall out of the rotation based on playoff matchups. However the Lakers biggest issue is that they played "must-win" basketball from February. The Lakers goal should be building a roster that gets to 50+ wins with LeBron playing 30 minutes per game. Those guys help you do that. Especially Vando - he brings playoff intensity and energy in every regular season game.

If you buy into a system then you can do wonders for your career under the national spotlight....

Or you wither away your career being a Wizard like he was doing...

Props to those who see the light and dont shy away from competition or critics.

They can bring back Reaves, D Lo, Vando, and Rui with no issues.

Do they want to do that? Re-signing those 4 would preclude them from adding any difference makers unless they think the MLE will fetch them something good, and they'd likely be paying the tax.

Sources: Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason.

Sources: Mavs were preparing to make an offer for LeBron James last season when Lakers were spiraling. But Lakers made a string of trades near deadline that changed trajectory of their season.

Luka. Because I don’t see much else available in players or picks.

If Cuban is that fricking stupid, more power to him.

As someone on the MSB said, no way LeBron does this with Bronny going to USC.

What reason would the Lakers possibly have to trade LeBron?

This feels like something Cuban put out there to show Luka he's trying.

Luka, Kyrie and Laboo? What could go wrong? Are they playing with three balls? I’d love to see that defensive intensity

He can’t just leave. He is under contract. Even if he pulls an AD the Lakers will still need to be compensated. This is what shel said. Cuban trying to put on a dog and pony show to sway Kyrie to resign which in turn is to sway Luka not to demand a trade

LeBron is not leaving LA. This is LeGM basically trying to say if you don't get Kyrie, then maybe I wont be here next year.

What's funny is Pelinka ignored LeBron getting Kyrie during last season, made some smart moves and they made a run. I'm curious to see which GM comes out on top.

Did he though? or is that what the FS1 and ESPN's of the world pump into the brains of guys who dislike the Lakers and LeBron.

There's alot of fake news usually. This is just yet another stretch of that.

Nothing to see here.
