Rockets aren't going to give up KMart now that Nene is out. The Better/Younger directive sounds like we need a new trading partner with young pieces. Minnesota wants to pair Pau with Rubio so Derrick Williams, Wesley Johnson and Anthony Randolph for Pau? Odom for picks?
You want two power forwards in one deal?

Young flippable talent. And it's what they have excess of.

This. I might cry if we settle for something like Rondo, Jeff Green, and picks. Rondo sucks with no talent around him, Jeff Green is a shitty player, and we won't get anyone good with their draft picks.

So if we were to pull off something like Williams, Johnson, and Randolph we'd be pretty awful this year. Doesn't Shinn want the team to look valuable to bidders?

To potential owners, valuable means not having a bunch of players locked in contracts when they buy the team. I think stern pulled the plug on this b/c it decreases our value to potential owners. We'd have talent but we'd be taking on contracts that would limit the owner's ability to do his own thing when he gets here. I'm not defending Stern or anything but that is how this was explained to me. Right now, Stern doesn't give a shite about making the Hornets a better team. He only cares about setting them up to be sold at the best price available.

The best player in the draft is another power forward in Anthony Davis. So what would we do then?

He doesnt want a total rebuild with nothing but 21 yr olds and picks. Because odds are, after 2 or 3 twenty win seasons, he and Monty wouldnt be here to see that team fluorish. Theyd be fired by the time the team's ready to make playoff runs

I can't fap to tanking a season...

Honest...and fricking brilliant. This is why I love Demps.

at least it's a shortened season

I'd be interested in Minny.

I'm not trying to punish LA. The owners are.
The lakers trade raped us. They got Paul and had the NBA (New Orleans) finance Turkoglu so they could get Howard too.
Stern did his job and protected the NBA's investment in New Orleans. The other owners are just crying because they weren't able to do what the lakers did.

Of course I could be wrong. But I guarantee you I'm not the only one with this opinion.
