If y'all get Bynum, we need to get Martin. Bynum can score as the first option.

I'd prefer Bynum to pair him with Patrick Patterson, but yeah I can't imagine us getting Bynum and keeping Martin. Houston would be a top 3-4 team in the West if that were to happen.

Other teams don't want LA to form a superteam....

So just switch Pau and Bynum and this works? Do the numbers work? It doesn't affect hornets either way as long as we get the same deal as before!

With Nene going elsewhere, it does seem smarter for Houston to take on Bynum and hope his knees don't continue to crap out. For a team like Houston, y'all can afford to take that risk. The Hornets cannot. There's also no way I can see Lamar Odom giving a shite with the Hornets, but maybe if he was a 2nd option rather than a 4th, he might be motivated? I don't know, I just see no way we don't try to move him as well.

Houston getting Bynum instead of Gasol is fine with me as long as NOLA keeps the same guys.

However, that still wouldnt get the deal through by Stern's logic. It doesnt make the trade any better for the Hornets

Luis Scola actually amused by trade circus. Said unconcerned if trade revived. Laughed at sympathy.

Luis Scola seems like a cool guy. I'm sure he'd prefer to remain in Houston, but he's a whiney count about it.

Because the Lakers got the best point guard in the game and an immediate savings of 22.5 million dollars.

They also received a trade exception for 11.25 million dollars which would allow them to trade Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard and still be able to take on Hedo Turkoglu's contract without adding any other pieces into the deal.

Clutchfans are saying that Bynum might be going to Houston instead of Pau.

Also saying LA would have to send cash+picks to NO.

The numbers work either way.

It affects competitive balance unless Okafor is going to LA. Allowing them to get Paul, save money, and get an 11 million dollar TPE is what has most owners flipping out.

Just keep the players we were getting from the Rockets and add in cash and picks from the Lakers.

Rockets aren't going to give up KMart now that Nene is out. The Better/Younger directive sounds like we need a new trading partner with young pieces. Minnesota wants to pair Pau with Rubio so Derrick Williams, Wesley Johnson and Anthony Randolph for Pau? Odom for picks?

Because a Big 3 in LA isn't going to be allowed.
