Lakers said Pau Gasol did not practice because of a quad strain.(or could it be because the trade is back on???)

Pau is upset that the Lakers wanted to trade him so they probably couldn't get him out of the locker room. Usually they just get him a bag of candy and let him rent a movie but this is just too much.

Its a horrible deal because we now have 2 contracts that are nearly impossible to move.
The only pick we got is going to be in the 20's.
Goran Dragic has no more value than Beno Udrih.
Lamar Odom is a malcontent making him very difficult to move. If he retires, his salary still counts as a cap hold, and he plays the same position as the other immovable part of the deal. We would be shut out of the 2011 FA period and the 2012.
We'd be in the same situation the Rockets are trying to get out of.

It was the best trade available and infinitely better than letting Paul's contract run out. But it didn't happen and won't.
What happens now?

That comment is based on the comments made on the previous page re: the mandate the Hornets draft a new trade that provides developing players and picks.

GTFO. Goran Dragic is going to make $2m this year. Udrih is going to make $15m over the next 2 yers.

he's an expiring contract. you deal him and they buy him out to get cheap cap space. that's it

FOR JUST THIS YEAR. that's worth a lot

What if the deal is approved with a pick and/or Shannon Brown from LAL in place of Odom? The LAL would just have to use their amnesty clause on someone. Derek Fisher would be a prime candidate. I think that would be a better deal for us, but I haven't looked at Brown's salary.

Brown signed a 1 yr deal with the Suns
