He is an expiring contract. Why do you think he has no value now?
He has 2 years left on his deal. He also has a sandy vagina about leaving Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory in L.A. and it's not his first time doing it. He pouts and threatens to take his ball ajd go home. He has no value.

Don't think for 1 second that if Lamar Odom gets traded to the Hornets, he stays. This is the same guy that almost ruined his own contract negotiation by stating that he would only play for teams that was close to the beach, limiting his choices greatly. I definitely think he would get traded back to the Clippers or somewhere on the east coast.

check his contract again. He has a team option for the 2nd year which means no team is going to pick that 2nd year up.

They gonna send us $3.50 and a family size bag of funyuns for him to carry Blake's luggage?

I honestly missed that part. I still think he would force us to waive him or retire and put a cap hold on us. He really didn't sound like he wants to leave L.A.

It's all good. I agree he def doesn't want to be here and I really don't want him here. Im hoping his meeting with Lakers brass today helped him understand this is a business. I still think if the CP3 to Lakers deal goes down, Demps will move Odom for another piece.

I think them dumping Odom has a lot to do with the veto. They included his contract to dump salary and drop below the tax line. It was kind of underhanded. If they want CP3 they can't have their cake and eat it, too.

Random question, if LAL do somehow sweeten the deal and leave out Odom....say the NBA approves it. Do we applaud them for the veto improving our haul?

Are you referring to the Hornets or the Lakers when you talking about dumping Odom? We would be the ones moving him and dumping him, so Im actually glad we are getting him to use a trade piece.

Nevermind, just saw Brown signed with Pheonix.

Per ESPN
ESPN sources: Hornets/Lakers/Rockets cautiously optimistic they'll have reworked CP3 trade to present to NBA perhaps as soon as Saturday
Specific changes to deal not immediately known but teams working through night to infuse CP3 deal w/enough youth and/or picks to satisfy NBA

He's an expiring contract at best, $9M cap hold at worst. That is not a good risk/reward. The LAL included him to dump his salary. The Lakers were making out like bandits in that trade. Odom's value as an expiring is very little after he cried to SAS.

This has been the craziest 2 days I've ever seen for this franchise...

I'm just curious what LAL and Hou could do to make it happen? Neither has high picks or young players they would part with.

NBA wants Hornets to get younger talent, picks. One source says, "Still working through it all," and there could be resolution on Saturday.

The primary work on deal has been between Lakers and Hornets sides, sources say. Rockets still get Gasol, still move same parts. Odom to NO.

Not much as long as they are dumping Odom's contract on us.
